Why is my alarm app now mahjong??

I have had this app for many many years and now suddenly when I go to use it as my alarm it’s simply a mahjong game??!

Needs work!!!

Every time I try to have the clock face vertical it stays horizontal.

Overpriced!

$4.99 a week for an alarm clock? Ridiculous!

Great app, (+user tip)

Update: Settings>Notifications>Alarm Warning - Toggle indicating either enabled or disabled. When I exit the app while my iPhone ported want my phone on silent, the annoying, idls ports mcompletely unnecessary notifications are displayed despite having clearly indicated user choice them disabled.

I’ve been using this alarm app for years. It’s a keeper for sure. Love the graphics and the functionality is exactly as it should be. It’s great waking up to a custom playlist preselected for a happy yet energizing start to the world. Small annoyance: At one point the programmers decided to add a notification. Every time the app is closed, there is an immediate notification informing of when the next alarm will occur or if you have elected to turn off all alarms (say you happen to wake up before it goes off), then it will state no alarm set. This is annoying. The user clearly knows what they’ve chosen to do. Perhaps one person out there might like this, but I honestly don’t think the majority of users need this. I find it annoying because it’s like: YES, I KNOW WHAT I JUST DID! LOL 😅 At one point the programmers must have realized or (more likely) were informed of user objection to this. Within the app, the first item is notifications. The very first toggle is in fact “Next Alarm Time Notification”. This SHOULD do exactly what I want, but unfortunately it doesn’t work. The app still does it regardless whether this is on or off 👎 Work around: Go into iPhone settings, Notifications, Alarm Clock. **Keep Allow Notifications toggle turned on** If you disable this, the app will not sound (specifically I believe it’s if the app is closed). Instead below, uncheck your choices of the three Alerts: Lock Screen, Notification Center & Banners. IMO as exampled above, it’s the banners that really annoyed me the most when they popped up immediately after closing the app. So, wish the settings were slightly better but overall I will definitely continue to stick to this app and highly recommend it to any and all iPhone users!

Response from developer

Thank you for such a detailed review, and for sharing your workaround with other users. Sorry the Next Alarm Time Notification setting isn't doing what it should. We've passed this to the team to check. If you'd like an update, just write to us at support@impalastudios.com. - The Alarm Clock team

Ads that won’t close or be close

Not sure what is going on with the free version, but there is now and has been individual ads that do not time out and close and have a timed X or Close. This bug does not and will not allow use of any app function/edits.

I have always dealt with the ads because having to watch an ad is the price I pay for a free version. But this is now for me looking for a different free version.

I like the Title on the now Clook format on

I’m fully aware on then with to have been able working this

Crazy alarm

I’ve used this alarm for years but for the past month. When I change the alarm time or turn off the alarm before the alarm sounds. It will still go off even after I turned it off .

Can’t open for 10 seconds without ads!

Genuinely only used it for the seconds part to match a watch to the time. I can’t even open for 10 seconds without an ad and it’s not like it’s 1 ad then I get to use it. NO 10 SECONDS OF SCREEN TIME FOLLOWED BY 2 ADS 20 SEC EACH

😡😡😡😡😡

I gave me the option to play a song and when I woke up it was playing drake and I wanted Kendrick Lamar

Haven’t had any problems

I use it to wake up for work everyday to my music playlists. You do get one poo up ad when you open the app initially but it’s not too bad. The rest of the ads are just banner ads which don’t even block much of the screen at all.

Wtf

What’s with the ads? It’s a simple alarm clock. I get that people need revenue for digital products, but dam, an alarm clock? I made one of these with Java in first year programming class 101.

Response from developer

Fair point, it's a simple alarm clock, and sorry the ads are getting in the way. You can get rid of them by upgrading to Premium in Settings. If you get an ad you can't close, just send us a screenshot at support@impalastudios.com and we'll check it. - The Alarm Clock team

Not enough control

I only want the alarm to play the song I choose once. I don’t want it to keep repeating the same song over and over. Play the song and stop.

Used to be a great app, ads made it unusable

I understand the need for ads, but since a recent update they are so full-screen intrusive I can not set alarms anymore. Want to change a time on an alarm? Nope deal with an ad that is not closeable and the close buttons are fake and redirect you to the slop they’re promoting instead of letting you use the app!

Ugh…

This app used to be awesome and easy. Recently it’s been waking me up in the middle of the night with ads playing music. Why?!?

Love it

I have used for a couple of years. I can set alarms for my medicines so I don’t forget them. I also set alarms for meetings and appointments.

Response from developer

Thank you for using the app for a couple of years now! We're really glad it helps you remember your medicines, meetings and appointments. That's exactly what we want it to do. If anything ever isn't working right, just write to us at support@impalastudios.com. - The Alarm Clock team

Review for alarm.

The ads are not just annoying but highly inappropriate to boot! I hardly ever even hear my alarm any more.

Background

Had this app for years works a treat. Must be time to update the backgrounds though or allow people to custom there own ones??

Trapped in opening as

I am giving this app a review just before I delete it. I’ve had it on my phone for several years but lately I am trapped in the opening ad and it seems to take forever to get to the clock. It is an endless loop. I only use this app when I travel as I like to have a bedside clock. Twice this week I gave up just trying to get to the clock because I could not stop the ad at the beginning. I found another app and I’m deleting this now!

Once Great

It’s not what it used to be, for one it’s often hard to STOP the alarm.
