Prices and quality
I’ve been shopping at ALDI for a few years now. Prices and quality of goods is very good. I don’t recommend stores usually but I’ll make an exception this one time.
I find shopping Apps very useful
I think there are some very positive aspects to this App. What I would love to see is the ability to sort my selections into order based on their shelf location. This may have to vary between locations, where store layout may be slightly different.
Freezer
I am looking to buy an Aldi front opening freezer so I check Aldi special buys every Wednesday and Saturday. Hope it comes up soon. Thank you.
My love for shopping
I’m so excited if I can go Wednesdays and some Saturday to Aldi for all the specials and I tell you I enjoy everything- you sell the best cheese and best chocolate

App Suggestions
absolutely LOVE shopping at aldi, especially with their app but there's a few things i wish it had.
- firstly, PLEASE bring back all the sub-categories you had in each of the categories, they literally vanished overnight. it made finding things easier rather than having to scroll through all the products in the one main category or having to search for things one by one.
- would appreciate better stock updates on items like how some other supermarkets have on their apps. as someone who makes their list in the app and shops in-store, it would be easier if i'm not hoping an item is available or not each week. perhaps adding other local aldi's that have the product in stock as i've seen this feature available on a few of the limited time items you have that may get added on the app.
- shopping list instead of favourites list. again, as someone that uses the app to make my shopping list, i like to try to keep it organised so i'm not walking laps in-store. i'd be more in favour of it being an organised shopping list where items are being added in their own categories instead of being listed by the last item added. seeing as the main categories of all the products are mostly in the order of the store layout (fruits & veggies as soon as you walk in then meat section after, etc.)

Its easy to find things
Overall Aldi is good and has a reasonable selection. But compared to what was once my only place to shop I now check all supermarket prices s as Aldi has changed and isn’t the supermarket it once was. It’s sad Aldi has slowly cheated their customers shrinking many of their food items but still increasing the prices following suit of the larger supermarkets.
Their self serve checkouts need the option to use cash as I often only have cash out need to take out cash and not even one offers cash option which is a fail on their side.

Alcohol ID
Unfortunately I no longer drive and my license has expired, (2024) as has my passport (2022) and am therefore unable to purchase alcohol with my grocery order with Aldi. I know the laws regarding selling alcohol to minors are strict and carry heavy penalties.
I understand it’s my responsibility to obtain current photo ID BUT while it’s a straightforward process for me it’s not so easy.
At 66, I obviously look older than 18! When I rarely do shop in store, the cashier and I have a laugh when I say I don’t have ID (without doubt doubt they’ve heard that ‘joke’ many times a day)
I have ALL my expired licenses dating back decades…. further proof I am the person with the now expired license and of course have supplementary ID (eg a current Medicare card, birth certificate, a government concession card, utility bills etcetera)
It would be great if recently expired photo ID were acceptable for home delivery - giving the delivery person some credit for common sense; just as in store cashiers are.
Is it simply a built-in App requirement, that’s out of date now biometrics are widely used. Is it rigid thinking by App designer or legal department?
Who knows but Aldi is losing customers from seniors without current photo ID and simply use a neighbour’s Liquorland or BWS App then in frustration, deliberately use personal Coles or Safeway app for full grocery shop
All over obtaining a bottle of vino, whiskey (or Bailey’s Irish cream 😁)
2- Maple syrup is not on the online Aldi App. ie can’t purchase it online. In the past my DoorDasher has had to go to Safeway, incurring additional fees or I simply shop at Safeway.
I was surprised when found Aldi sells “Brookde Pure Canadian Maple Syrup, 250ml” in my local store (Blackburn N) store Oddly, it’s located near UHT milk and flour, nowhere near other ‘toppings’. (What other common products aren’t listed?)
Can you PLEASE add it to your online product list?

Great app to simplify doing the grocery shopping.
I love this app, makes shopping easy. Just swipe to take off items from your list and then tap them to go back in the list for the following week. No more writing out shopping lists. I love that it has pics and prices so it makes it easy to find items on the shelves at a glance and helps to keep within a budget every week.

Can’t live without Aldi. I shop via the app and buy based on that to compare. Nearly always the cheapest. Quality products. Best dark chocolate.

Dried mango is really tasty and the dark chocolate topping is thick is smooth and creamy.

Poor layout
Not like the old app that you can see all of the products.
Almost perfect
Please add some sorting options to “My List” including sort by price, and sort by isle. This is the standard on other supermarket apps and makes the in-store shopping experience when using lists much easier.
Need multiple list options
Useful app but desperately needs a multiple shopping list option so you can make a master list and a next shop list
