Works well just make sure to not be stupid and make sure you’re not accidentally paying for someone else’s stuff.
As long as you’re not around anyone while using the app to pay you’ll be fine.
That being said it can also NOT charge you for stuff, it is definitely a work in progress worth investing time into.

Charges for extra items
It feels “dangerous” to use this app. If you pick up an item AND put it back on the shelf, you might be charged anyway! I am all for new technology, but I want to not be overcharged. Hope they fix this issue.
Terrible App!! Prepare to be Overcharged at Aldi!
Hard to believe this is a professional app. You DO NOT get to see what you are paying for until the receipt shows up later. When I used it in an Aldi store, I was charged for an item I didn’t buy. The receipt didn’t show up in the app so I could dispute it for FOUR DAYS. I still can’t submit a request for refund because the app just says “Something went wrong.” I need Aldi to explain how this dreadful, unfinished app made it through the testing stage. It seems they are still testing—with customer debit and credit cards and provide no means for getting a refund when their technology screws up. AVOID any Aldi stores that do not have traditional checkouts.
