Helpful
Received a few notices so far and all were helpful. I hope I never get the one letting us know the big one has hit our B.C. coast, but it’s comforting to know I’ll be informed straight away and manage to seek higher ground here on Bowen island Snug Cove. It just might save our lives.
Wonderful App!
This app gives me warnings about incoming thunderstorms and other extreme weather events, and often this happens without any other warnings. I greatly appreciate it. The warnings are timely and accurate.
Staying in the loop
It’s nice to be informed about what’s is going on and areas to stay away from. This app could save lives. I think it’s important.
Fast response. Thanks
Great info. Delivery is fast and accurate.
Safety
I love this app…
As a Western employee,
It’s a great way to keep employees and students safe.
We need to know if there is any dangerous situations where we spend so much time.

Must Have App
Many urgent notifications regarding traffic, weather, others!
Appreciated
I appreciate the heads up on extreme weather. Helps with planning travel.
Fine but exhausting
Literally every time I open the app I get a question asking “Want to keep receiving [event] alerts?” with buttons for yes or no. I selected exactly what I wanted when I set up the app and I’m opening the app from the notification because it’s of interest, but then I’m immediately second-guessing myself or worrying that I’ll stop receiving that type of alert if I don’t select yes. Is there a way to disable these prompts? Having to make a choice every time I open the app is weirdly exhausting.

Fake news
Always a watch for a severe thunderstorm. It never happens. Where you getting your information ? Not good . Fear mongering
Audible Tornado warning
Had my Alertable and environment Canada app both show a tornado warning but the alert from Alertable is what woke me up. So glad I had it on.
Area problem
While setting up, you have to provide your location, but it only supports Canada! I live somewhere else that isn’t Canada!
Please support dark mode
Add dark mode please
Very Handy!
Very user friendly with pertinent and timely information all in one place and at your fingertips.
Works great
Love this app it always alerts me when there is a issue in my community or anywhere else !
Terrible UI
This review will likely get buried since the app was originally downloaded from the U.S. App Store, but the iOS version is very inferior compared to Android. The new “select the map” feature—where you pan to add a region—finally exists, but unlike Android, you’re stuck selecting a neighbourhood instead of the actual city. Trying to select Langley, BC is a nightmare. I want to highlight the whole area by dragging across the map, not drop a pin in some random neighbourhood. The neighbourhood option is useless—get rid of it. Simpler is better.
There are also way too many pointless alert types like council meetings and community surveys. They clutter the interface and distract from the alerts that matter. The only reason this app doesn’t get one star is because it does a decent job with critical alerts—many of which users would miss otherwise. That’s the only thing keeping it afloat. The government contractor (think arrive can app) keeps sending test alerts because the public warning system is inadequate—basically broken. Alerts should work without mobile data like they do in other countries. Even with data, people still miss them. That's why I give the app an extra star.
Another missing feature: the ability to silence specific types of alerts. I don’t need to be notified about a small car ferry 40 km away that only runs during weekday rush hours and serves a small local population. That kind of alert is irrelevant and clutters the feed. There should be an “ignore this kind of alert in the future” option to stop these low-priority and Irrelevant notifications from showing up.

Very bad
The app never ever give me an access code. I don’t have data but do have wifi.
I had to give it a star to make this review so I think you owe me a star.
