What's New in Aletay
1.8
September 25, 2026
"What's New in This Version" (public release notes) Background audiobooks. Start a chapter and keep listening while you move around the app or lock your phone. Controls appear on your lock screen and in Control Center. Automatic next chapter. When a chapter ends, the next one begins on its own, so a book plays from open to finish without a tap. Read along. Open a book while its audiobook is playing and the page follows the narration, landing you on the chapter being read. Faster and smoother. We trimmed work that ran on every screen, so pages open quicker and moving through the app feels lighter. Plus stability and bug fixes throughout.
