Set up can’t select tv shows

What do I actually have?
I have an echo device. It looks like a very small TV set with a big back on it. I can’t fully identify what it is. I have. It’s echo it’s by Amazon and it is as I’ve described it. When I downloaded this app, it was supposed to be for all echo devices. So I don’t know if these instructions have a bearing on the device I have it looks like what I’m reading here. I can already have my device due. I don’t see anything different here.

Didn’t work at all
I tried a half dozen times to log in with Amazon using my browser, using both Chrome and Safari on my iPad. I couldn’t get it to work but it dumped an endless amount of ads in my way. It errored out, saying that the address was wrong when I signed in and tried going back to the app to continue.

I had trouble with down loading the app. It froze on after I did the review the first time, so I had to delete it and start over. Hopefully I’ll have a smooth setup from here.

Ads and the purpose of this app???
My grandma installed this unofficial app thinking it was an official Amazon app to set up her Alexa. She ended up getting a virus because an ad popped up saying she had viruses and clicked on it. Will be reporting this app.
Useless
While it says any Alexa device it leaves out that it is only 3rd gen or newer. Also EVERY click brings up another garbage app for you to download load.
Fake app scammer
Almost allowed this app to gain access to my phone but deleted it before I allowed any access. It was requiring you to download apps and sites which will steal your info and scam you

This app is a scam. Do not use it. Use the Amazon Alexa app. Also you cannot permanently delete it from your iPhone like other apps.

It says to connect to echo app. The only app is Alexa. Alexa app won’t open. So now I have another useless app.
