About
Alexo is London's community safety network — a live situational-awareness map built by the people walking its streets. When something feels off, locals drop an anonymous signal covering a roughly 200 m zone, so everyone nearby can stay aware.
IMPORTANT — WHAT ALEXO IS (AND ISN'T)
Alexo is not affiliated with law enforcement, and nothing you post on Alexo is sent to the police. Alexo is not a crime-reporting service — it is a community awareness tool, like a neighbourhood watch in your pocket. For emergencies, always call 999. To report a crime, contact your local police directly.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Live map of nearby signals, brighter where more people have flagged the same thing
• Signal an event in seconds — theft, robbery, safety or property — always anonymous
• Community confidence: multiple independent signals build consensus, so you know what's credible
• Area report: how an area compares to typical London, with official Met Police open data shown for historical context
• Plan ahead: check a route or a place before you go
• SOS: share your live location with trusted contacts of your choice
• Alerts: an optional heads-up when a nearby area is unusually active
Alexo is anonymous by design. You never create an account, and signals are ~200 m radius zones, not pinpoints — no naming, no doxxing, no witch-hunts. The more Londoners who use it, the better it works for everyone.
Not a substitute for the emergency services. For emergencies, always call 999.

What's New in Alexo
1.0.2

Clearer scope, clearer errors: • Alexo now says up front what it is - a community awareness network. Nothing you post is sent to the police; for emergencies call 999. • Report submissions that are refused (for example, when you are too far from the spot) now explain the real reason. • Layout fixes: every onboarding screen now scrolls on smaller viewports and iPad. • SOS reliability improvements for trusted-contact links.
