Version 1.1.1 is here with some small bug Fixes! Version 1.1: This update is packed with new features and improvements, and a lot of them came directly from your feedback on Reddit. Thanks for all the support! NEW FEATURES Rate your playlists: One of the most requested features! You can now browse your Apple Music library playlists directly from the app and quickly hit Love or Suggest Less on individual tracks. Playlist sorting: Sort by Name or Last Modified. That preference sticks between launches. Expanded Album Stats (Pro): The Album Liner Notes got a massive upgrade. You can now check out 9 new stats, including total play time, release year, track coverage, and your most (and least) played tracks. Text Export (.md): Prefer text over sharing images? You can now export your stats as a cleanly formatted Markdown file. New Languages: AlgoRythm now speaks Dutch, French, and German. IMPROVEMENTS Smarter ratings: Loving or disliking an artist or album no longer auto-rates every track underneath it. You control exactly what gets rated. Rating retry queue: If a rating fails because of a network hiccup, the app now queues it up and retries automatically. Even works if you force-quit mid-request. More Discovery: Up to 10 daily track recommendations (or 14 if you have a Last.fm account linked). Faster Loading: The app will no longer hang or get stuck when Apple Music's servers are being slow. Playlist switching is also snappier with better caching. BUG FIXES Fixed a bug where artists with "The" in their name were displayed without it or linked to the wrong search results. Fixed an issue where artists with common names would sometimes resolve to the wrong discography. Fixed a sync issue where Last.fm album stats would mismatch due to different punctuation marks in track titles. Fixed rating rollback across album, artist, and playlist views. If the API flakes, the UI correctly snaps back. Fixed incorrect release years showing for some albums when local library data differed from the catalog. So simple, with profound results

I too downloaded and purchased this after seeing the developer announce it on /r/AppleMusic. This app simply allows you to set either “Loved”, “Hated” or “Neutral” on any song, album or artist — immediately teaching the AM algorithm what you want to hear.

This weekend, I turned on one of the Apple-built dynamic playlists, and let it play while going through my library, either providing approval or disapproval. Within the hour, I noticed the songs that Apple picked to play for me had begun to improve — I was skipping fewer songs and rating fewer tracks as undesirable.

I’m super-excited to see what the roadmap has in store for this app. Some things I’d personally, selfishly like to see:

- iPad Support
- Expansion in the Discovery tab (more artists, more recommended tracks, etc.
- Liner Note build out.
- The app itself floating up songs for rating.

Thanks so much for the amazing review and for coming over from Reddit! Hearing that your dynamic playlist improved within an hour is exactly why I built AlgoRythm. You have great timing with your wishlist. The 1.1 update is almost ready for roll out and actually tackles almost all of your requests! The Discovery tab now pulls more recommendations, and I've completely built out the Liner Notes to include album pages with a bunch of new stats. You can also now load your own library playlists into the app to quickly rate those tracks. iPad support is definitely on my radar for the future. Thanks again for the support!

amazing! one small bug

hey i noticed this app on a reddit forum, and its improved my library already! the only thing is that artists of the same name will be grouped into liking or suggesting less. my favorite band “silk” is confused for an all men’s group “silk” for example. it would be nice to add them individually! i also noticed sometimes the song that should be there, isn’t. a song ive listened to 24 times an hour ago doesn’t show but a show i listened to 4 times 3 minutes ago does with more replay weight. incredible app otherwise!

Hey Mori, thanks so much for the detailed review and the kind words! Really glad it's already helping your library. You're absolutely right about the same-name artists. That's a genuine blind spot. When two artists share a name like "Silk", the system currently bundles them together because it keys preferences on the name rather than the Apple Music ID. I'm looking at adding disambiguation so you can rate each one individually. On the Rotation Weight, that skew toward recent plays is actually intentional. The idea is to surface what's currently on your mind, not just what's historically popular. I know it can feel weird when a 4x recent play outranks a 24x older one though, and am keeping an eye on how that feels in practice. Might tweak it down the road if it keeps catching people off guard. Thanks again for taking the time. This kind of feedback is genuinely super helpful.
