Simply brilliant
I’ve been using this app with a professional mic for a while now for on location recordings for my podcast and the results are outstanding. It’s very simple to use , the recordings can be downloaded for editing and I can’t find anything negative to say about it. Definitely recommended
It works free for an hour
Great app! I’m impressed with its speech recognition capabilities and MP3 recording standard. You get an hour of transcription for free. After that, the best they’ll currently offer is another 100 hours of transcription for $300 which translates to $3 per minute. That’s great compared to the business expense of hiring someone, but compared to other AI fee-for-service options (since it’s a relatively basic compute resource) we’ll probably see their market erode when LLM appliances (or a new iPhone) do the same thing at home essentially for free. Hopefully, our support will aid their R&D enough to make the leap to that next paradigm and let them offer a new, less usury business model.

Didn’t work
I used it to transcribe a 90 minute conversation. It emailed me the first 5 minutes and the last 5, and as if it were one ten minute conversation. The rest is nowhere to be found. Awesome 👍🏿 You are welcome for the $10 donation.

Well just downloaded this I’ve searched all over for an app that will record, transcribe, file replay the recording as well as transcript and this adds even more features like sending copies via email and text brilliant

Was using your app for months but really liked this update. I must say that someone wants to create a goal-oriented clean app.

Works great but too expensive
This app is great but is way too expensive for someone just looking to keep notes from endless business meetings, especially when you consider that AI is doing all the work. I give it two stars and recommend trying it, at least through the free trial, while you look for a better solution.

It was perfect and one essential functionality is not working
It says that the recording has been uploaded (ie emailed), I check the email it's empty, no junk no spam. It was one of the reasons I switched to Alice.

The best out there
I have to use voice recorder & transcribers as part of my job. I have tried the most of the apps out there and none are as good. This is even better than Otter’s paid version.
Lost recordings and no customer service
I really really wanted to like Alice. Sadly two interviews I recorded were empty and after several attempts to reach customer service, they only replied once, there was no resolution or communication. I had to give up and re-interview the subjects since I was on deadline.

We have also added the ability to export all recordings from the app. If anything is ever corrupted you will be able to get it. We also never want our users to get locked in with the Alice platform! Worked well for the first few days
All of a sudden, crashes on launch
Great tool and excellent user service
Have used this excellent app for a while now but when there was an issue with a recording, the Alice app team responded quickly and did numerous updates on the whole app specific to my issue and resolved it in a week. Fantastic all around.

A perfect tool for journalists
I am so impressed by how easy this is to use. The app is ready to go the moment you downIoad and open it, and all you need to sign up is an email address. Nothing to figure out because who has time to learn yet another system? Just use it and get your recording and transcription in no time. I wish I had this back in the day when I interviewed people on a daily basis as a reporter. It's perfect for writing on deadline and finding the right quotes quickly. And, no lost interviews. I also appreciate the company's commitment to security and protecting the users' data. I highly recommend it.

A new father and a big house remodel was overbearing and taking it's toll. Alice was a god send. Before I started recording baby cooing and my discussion with my toddler, I asked the Alice crew on their policy of retaining my data. To my surprise, my data gets stored only for a small time window and is NEVER shared with anyone. I definitely didn't expect this response, but couldn't have been happier learning this. Alice only needs an email address to work. Doesn’t have to be your actual email address. You can use throwaway email addresses. Many companies prohibit these. Doesn’t need your name, phone number or anything at all. It sure was an awesome start.
Coming to using the app itself. My first recording was a test recording that was me blabbering for about 90 seconds. I paused the recording a couple times and when I finished it, I got an email with my recording and transcription in less than a minute. It was a wow moment. The transcription was spot on considering my Indian accent.
My second recording was with my toddler talking about our plan for her tree house. It ended up being a long conversation of 22 minutes. The transcription and the audio file was delivered in about a minute and the transcription was really good. The only thing it missed was some of the words my toddler said. The audio clip sure is something I will cherish all my life and let my older one know that a Rainbow Tree House was her idea. :)
Alice came in really handy while I worked on the house remodel. Alice listened to all the measurements I took and the spot on transcription saved me a lot of time of not jotting each of them down by hand. There was no trip to Home Depot where I had forgotten the measurement page at home. :D
By the way, this review is also using Alice. All I have to do is to add some punctuation, spacing etc. Couldn't get easier than that. Hats off Alice. You are awesome!
P.S. If only it could transcribe different languages, it could be the best app EVER!!!

Nothing short of magic!
Well I’m not a journalist, but in international
tech sales which means I spend most of my time travelling across Europe. I have tried a few apps before for recording as I use voice a lot to scribble notes, emails, manage my team on Teams, etc. but I came across Alice today while I was setting up my new iPhone 11 pro. It’s damn easy to set up and very usable. And I had my recording come to my inbox automatically- sounds good to be true.
The best thing I liked was that it works in the background and works with 2 simple gestures swipe up and down; life can’t get simpler than this. And I like the work Alice, sort of like your personal assistant :)
