Love and Hate …
Firstly, I do not agree with having to pay a weekly fee for the program and then have to buy coins to actually use the program. Curiosity got the best of me and I paid an additional $30 to try restoring some photos. FIRST PHOTO: The first photo I “restored” turned out fantastic.
SECOND PHOTO: 2nd photo was ok but left some splotches near someone’s face.
THIRD PHOTO: On the 3rd photo 2 things happened, the first time it returned a different photo altogether after being processed. RETRY THIRD PHOTO: On the second time it only processed what the thumbnail image showed, not the whole photo so that was a complete bust! It still took the coins I paid for.
FOURTH PHOTO: I got adventurous and added a kissing motion to an image of my in-laws from the 1940’s. My father-in-law looked great but the female in photo looked nothing like my mother-in-law. I do not know where this image came from. Did they add a random person from stock files? It was unnerving to see. The program made them kiss twice, the first on landed sweetly on her cheek and the second one landed between them in the air.
FIFTH PHOTO: Same couple with color added and again it changed her facial features enough that it does not look like her in the photo. The coloring was good.
SIXTH PHOTO: Same couple, just added color and it came out fantastic!
OTHER ISSUES: downloading the image to my iPad resulted in a somewhat blurry image result. I found that the image was better if I clipped a screen shot and saved it to my images file. Somewhere I saw settings for the image downloads which was set to “most compatible” but I cannot find my way to them again.
OVERALL IMPRESSIONS: I think this program has great potential and I am happy with the photos that it did a great job with. It cost me $37 in total for 3 good photos and a whole lot of failures. I don’t mind paying for a program but it needs to perform better if you want my money. I hope this helps someone if you managed to read the whole review.
