Nightmare to settle up
Splits bills accurately but is an absolute nightmare when people start to settle up. Each time someone pays, the remaining payments and organization of who owes who completely shuffles and changes. Even when you mark a line item as “paid” sometimes the amount changes after you click the button and the amount you marked paid is different than what you actually paid.
Not sure how this app made it through development with this experience.
If you still want to use this app, I suggest adding all expenses then writing down or screenshotting who owes who, then manage the payments on your own without marking anything as paid. Have fun! Hope you get your money back!

RBBW539, thanks for the feedback. In older versions of the app we would freeze the bill to allow people to settle up final costs but users asked to keep the bill rolling so you can pay back multiple times during a trip (e.g. when paying for flights, hotels in advance, then also for expenses on the trip). As a result what is owed is dynamically recalculated when more costs are added but you'll never pay more than what you owe. If you had taken a screenshot you'd have seen this and it would have reassured you. You can also send a summary of who owes what to your chat app so that can help show you overall what people owe isn't changing. I hope that helps reassure you.

Great app for easy organisation of group activities
I've used this app a few times now and have been very pleased with it as an effective tool for organising group activities. The key features I have used and found helpful have been sorting out dates, messaging the group and the bill split at the end. Once you have got everyone to download the app it's very straightforward and saves having to use 2-3 different apps to achieve the same result. I will be using it again.

Great for groups, covers all in one; dates - chat - bill splitting
I downloaded this app with a group for a girls weekend away (note, the whole group need to download use it together for best result). It was such a brilliantly helpful reference point, with address details of where we were staying, dates & activities, and then everyone could submit their bills paid & the calculations on who owes what was done for you! Lastly, I was able to reimburse the right people directly through the app. Would definitely recommend for group events & worth each member taking the time to sign up.

Makes organising events so easy
Use the app to organise different sporting events. We collect payments using it too. All so easy and time saving!

This is a fantastic app that saves loads of time. Think Doodle for picking your dates, Facebook for an event page, What’s App for your chat about that specific group and Splitwise to pay your mates what you owe. But you can actually pay in the app. Love it.

I have used the app since the summer to arrange catch up with family and friends. Made it so much easier to know who was coming vs scrolling back and forth through messages, emails etc.

Use to organise sports team events and split payments
Managed to set up weekly regular sports for our team and also use the payments function with little problem. Cool that you can limit the spaces and run a waitlist, saves any argument and way better than using an email chain like we used to!

Has made organising our weekly 5-a-side sooooo much easier than it used to be. Easy to see who is in. Easy for people to be replaced if they drop out. Easy to set up and track payments. Wish my other footie club would use it too!
