Pitch count issues

You REALLY need a way to reset pitch count to zero without having hit “-1” 90+ times. Pitching changes are a nightmare for our scorekeepers now. Please add a “reset” button under options!!

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback! We heard this request from a number of baseball scorekeepers, and we're happy to share that the latest version of All Sport Lite now includes a Clear Pitch Count option to make pitcher changes much quicker and easier. To get the new baseball features, update All Sport Lite from your app store, then connect to your MX-1 and use the Diagnostics screen to check for and install the latest MX-1 firmware update. The app and MX-1 firmware should both be updated to take advantage of the latest baseball improvements. Thank you again for taking the time to share your feedback. If the new feature meets your needs, we would appreciate you considering an update to your review. Your feedback helps other scorekeepers discover the app and helps us continue improving the product.

It’s good

Really good for keeping track of your base ball game helps everyone out 5 stars

Pitch count manual clearing!!

You have to manually click 2 buttons to clear the pitch count when there’s a new pitcher. At 60 pitches to clear to 0, you have to make 120 clicks!

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback! We completely understand the frustration. Repeatedly tapping to clear a pitch count during a pitching change was not the experience we wanted for scorekeepers. We're happy to share that the latest version of All Sport Lite now includes a Clear Pitch Count option, allowing you to reset the pitch count with a single action. Thank you for helping us improve the product. If the new feature solves the issue for your team, we would appreciate you considering an update to your review.

App stinks, have to manual reset pitch counts

App stinks, have to manual reset pitch counts. Pressing the -1, 70 times to reset pitch counts for a new pitcher stinks and is outdated

WHERE IS THE CLEAR PITCH COUNT FUNCTION?!

Controlling a Daktronics Scoreboard with this App using an MX-1, there’s no way to clear the pitch count with one click when a new pitcher enters. If the previous pitcher threw 85 pitches, your scorekeeper gets to hit “-1” eighty-five times to reset the pitch count for the next pitcher. Huge oversight!!

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback! We agree that manually tapping down a pitch count dozens of times was not an ideal experience for scorekeepers. We're happy to share that the latest version of All Sport Lite now includes a Clear Pitch Count option, allowing the pitch count to be reset quickly when a new pitcher enters the game. To access this improvement, update All Sport Lite from your app store and connect to your MX-1 to install the latest firmware update through the Diagnostics screen. We appreciate you taking the time to call this out. Feedback from baseball and softball users helped prioritize this enhancement. If the new feature addresses your concerns, we would be grateful if you would consider updating your review.

Pitch count reset

Can’t set pitch count back to zero without using -1. If a pitcher has 90 pitches you have to go backwards 90 times pushing to open the minus 1 and pushing the minus one. You have to push the button a total of 180 times to get it to 0 before the next pitcher enters.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback. We understand the frustration. Having to repeatedly tap "-1" to reset a pitch count for a new pitcher was not an efficient experience for scorekeepers. We're happy to share that the latest version of All Sport Lite now includes a Clear Pitch Count option that resets the pitch count with a single action. To get the update, install the latest version of All Sport Lite from your app store, then connect to your MX-1 and update the firmware through the app's Diagnostics screen. If the new feature meets your needs, we would appreciate you considering an update to your review.

Functionally unusable

There’s some junior programmer who has never scored a baseball game in their life charged with developing this app. New pitcher? Resetting the pitch count involves hitting the menu button and -1 hundreds of times. When you spend tens of thousands on a scoreboard, you expect more.

Response from developer

Thank you for the honest feedback. We understand your frustration, and you're right that manually decrementing a pitch count for a new pitcher was not an efficient workflow. Since your review, we've released an update to All Sport Lite that adds a Clear Pitch Count option, allowing scorekeepers to quickly reset the count when a pitching change occurs. To access the new feature, update All Sport Lite from your app store and update your MX-1 firmware through the app's Diagnostics screen. We appreciate you taking the time to share your experience. Feedback from baseball scorekeepers like you helped drive this improvement. If the new feature meets your needs, we would appreciate you considering an update to your review.

App is SWEET! However

The app was finally updated! However the baseball is still wrong. When you start a game the app puts a zero in the top of the first when it should be blank until a run is scored or you advance to the bottom of the first, then a zero should pop in the top and the bottom remains blank. Also I wish there was a way to move things. Example being where I’m at we don’t need the pitch timer so it would be nice to remove it. I think it would be best if the app matched the look of a scoreboard. Kinda like basketball

Pitch Count functionality stinks

No way to clear pitch count quickly/easily

Old app was better

The new clock is just bad. Not sure why the simplicity of the old system was replaced but this made the app worse.

App Broken After Transition To All Sports Lite

App broke after the update to All Sports Lite… cannot set the time without it resetting.

Would like more personalized options

Works fine, just wish I could set my screen with different widgets to what I want. My scoreboard doesn’t display pitch count, but I can’t not have it up. I would love to replace that with the hits/error tab.

iPad multitasking not working

This app works well on its own. I installed to be able to have this multitask with GameChanger for scoring. When enabling slide over the screen just turns white and is unusable.

Response from developer

Thank you for the feedback, and for using All Sport Lite with your Daktronics scoreboard. Since your review, we've made significant improvements to how the app behaves when moving between the foreground and background on mobile devices. Many users operate All Sport Lite alongside other apps during games, and improving that experience has been a priority for our team. We encourage you to update to the latest version of All Sport Lite and try it again with your scoring workflow. If the updates address the issue you experienced, we would appreciate you considering an update to your review.

App is SWEET! However

On a baseball scoreboard, let’s say you are in the top of the first and no runs have been scored to this point, the scoreboard should be blank in the top of that inning until a run is either scored or you advance to the bottom of that inning, at the point of advancing with no run(s) scored a zero would then pop up. The current half inning you are on in baseball should be blank on the board. The App places a zero in the current inning which makes the scoreboard incorrect and forces me to not use the app. I would love it if you can fix this to mock the control panel which does not place the zero until the inning is advanced and make life as the scoreboard operator easier!! Last thing this app hasn’t been updated in 4 years. It’s time for a major update. Hopefully allowing you to adjust what on the screens in each sport. Example being able to remove the timer from baseball because it’s not needed in High school.

I originally made this post 2 years ago and had the app as a 4 star. Then because there was no response I took it to a 3 star a year later. Here we are now and still no response so it’s going to a 2 star. I’m not sure why this can’t be fixed within 3 years.

Great addition to the gym

We have had it in our gym for about 6 months and it makes timing and scoring in practice really easy. The tournaments we run are more streamlined as well.

Two ideas for future updates:
1. A master account that can override anyone else connected to the scoreboard in case someone forgets to disconnect.
2. An Apple Watch version so we don’t need our phones in the gym during practice.

Not meant for lacrosse

It does not have a lacrosse function, and therefore doesn’t allow you to run the clock and shot clock at the same time. If the shot clock is above :59, it doesn’t show as :75 or :90, but from :59 and counts down again from the remainder once the minute is up.

Works well, but missing one thing

This app works will with controlling most of the functionality of a regular All Sport Controller, but would like to see tenths of a second added as an option with the basketball mode.

I have edited this to 3 stars from 4 because there has been no response on if the developer will even look into the issue. I was hoping it would have been fixed last season but now I’m nervous it won’t be looked into for this upcoming season.
