Great tool to explore Unicode
App switching ate my original review, so I’ll make this brief: if you are looking for a tool to search, explore, and manipulate Unicode codepoints, this is it. It assumes you’ve read something like the Wikipedia entry on Unicode, so it doesn’t hold your hand on, for example, what combining characters are.
I think the app is a little too old for modern emoji like flags and alternate skin colors. It would also be nice if the codepoint detail page not only hyperlinked to other parts of the app, but also hyperlinked to the appropriate sub-document on the Unicode Consortium’s website. But still, 5/5 for what it does (and especially its reasonable price and privacy policy!)
