Wonโ€™t connect

Phone connected to my WiFi same as the tv- it started with an ad but quickly told me to connect my already connected phone to WiFi but wouldnโ€™t go on to the next screen. And even though I tried to click add device, disconnected and tried again ended up still being stuck on the screen same poor results. Never gotten past making sure my device with WiFi connection was connected.
