About
A block you can check.
Allowance gives a few distracting apps a daily minute budget and blocks them when it is spent. Unlike other blockers, every block comes with a receipt: the minute-by-minute count iPhone tallied, when counting started and the moment the block was applied. If the count looks wrong, you can correct it, once or twice a day, with a reason that stays on the record.
THE RECEIPT
Each allowance keeps an itemized receipt for the day. Each recorded threshold tick is listed with the clock time it was tallied. Days the app was not opened are shown with their gaps marked rather than invented.
CORRECTIONS, ON THE RECORD
Choose how many corrections an allowance allows per day and how many minutes each adds. A correction lifts the block right away, writes your reason to the receipt and counts the minutes you use afterward. Firm allowances allow none, and edits to them only apply from tomorrow.
QUIET HOURS AND PAUSE
Block a set of apps for the same window every day, including overnight. Pause everything for fifteen minutes to twelve hours and iOS lifts it when its end callback runs, including while the app is closed. Apple controls callback timing.
A LEDGER YOU CAN READ
The ledger lists each day's receipts, blocks and corrections with weekly totals. Export it as plain text whenever you like.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Allowance uses Apple's Screen Time frameworks. You choose apps in Apple's own picker, and the app never learns which ones you picked. Account-linked purchase recovery and rule/receipt sync use Firebase; minute ticks stay on this iPhone. No tracking or advertising.
PREVIEW, THEN SUBSCRIBE
Educational onboarding and a receipt preview show how Allowance works. A yearly or monthly subscription is required to use the app, including the first rule. There is no ongoing free rule or trial. The App Store shows the actual localized charge, billing period and renewal terms before purchase. Paid access permits up to five allowances and three quiet-hour windows. Cancel renewal in App Store settings. If access lapses, every live rule pauses; existing records remain exportable and deletable, and restore and account recovery stay available.
Requires iOS 18 and Screen Time access. Allowance names each rule as you label it; it cannot name the apps it blocks.
