great radio app
I love this radio app!
I can listen to all my favorite radios, worldwide, without any banners, ads or sign up... unheard of nowadays.
It is refreshing to be able to simply click and listen.
I also discovered some great stations on there like Heartland Public Radio 1 and SomaFM.

Waisted money on broken app
I wish I could give it zero.. The app won't even load at all. It crashes right away while asking to register with developer for news and updates. First of all, it should really be optional to register, second - it crashes and closes right away. I've tried entering my info, as soon as I press "Continue" it exits, or sometimes it won't even let me enter anything - just crashes on load. I've tried deleting it from my phone and Mac, reinstalling.. All to no avail.. It still does one and only thing - crashes on load... This is the only program (from many free and paid App Store programs that I got) that does this.. What a shame that I read all the comments about the app crashing AFTER I purchased it. Ohh, and the developer doesn't even respond to support emails. Btw, the only way to contact developer is by mail form that's only half in English. Sent him 2 emails, still haven't received a response.. What a waste.. Wish I could get a refund, not that dollar matters anymore, but just to prove a point..
Update: Gotta give it higher rating, I'd say it's 4 stars. All of a sudden it started working on my iPhone 4 w/ iOS4, even though same version failed to load & crashed to springboard on my old 3GS w/ 3.1.2... Have to admit, now that it's working and I can actually enjoy it - this is one of the best radio apps in the store. Beautiful design, lots of stations and very thoughtful in terms of user experience/esthetics. Giving 4 stars because it doesn't stay in the chosen country after a station was selected & I have to dig in the menus/scroll a long list to find my country's stations again. Also, it hasn't been updated to iOS 4, so it doesn't play well with multitasking.

No radio app does more or works better
Beautiful and intuitive interface, works flawlessly. Clearly one of the best designed iPhone apps, and at a price point that's more than reasonable. The absolute only time this application stops playing is when I enter an area where there is no coverage. Other than that, it has never skipped a beat. The older version crashed on me once or twice; the new one seems super-stable. I recommend this application unreservedly.

Much Better
The update of allradio is so much better than the last build of this app. Before, the app would app would crash if you so much as breathed on it, but since the update I haven't had this problem. The addition of shoutcast radio was a good move. Now I can get my favorite college radio station z889 without switching between the two apps. If you like House, Techno, D&B and Electronica, there is no other app that offers as much variety. The update also comes with a nice screensaver to conserve battery power. It also doubles as a sleep/wake timer which is cool. Thanks to the makers of this app for making such a great update!

Awesome Radio Listening Experience
This little app appeared in the earliest days of the App Store. It filled a unique niche by streaming the most desirable radio stations broadcast in France (in the French language). While it suffered through a rough patch, the current 2.1 release has added polish, performance and stability. From its humble start, this app is now a great choice for all your radio listening. Don't pass this one by!

Excellent application
I had the original version for the last 2 years (with no update...) The old version had a lot of broken links, so far this one is very good on that matter Only problem I had was network related, works fine on WiFi, very stable. Since I'm a big fan of electronic music, this Internet radio app is by far the best. The choice of station is endless and the quality is superb. The new interface is very elegant and intuitive (good ergonomic), and the included radio alarm clock very cool. Good work from Visuamobile on updating this old app, now the good words from users like me will most probably bring it to one of the top downloaded app. This is the first time I write a review, I'm that trilled about this app.

Keep waiting for devs to improve this
I've kept this app on my iPhone for about 9 months, hoping that it would be improved. The interface is attractive, but no current song title. And the crashes... Oh, the crashes. I've never gotten more than 5 minutes of play time out of it before it drops out permanently or just quits. Oh- annoying detail- if it crashes, on the next launch it will "helpfully" offer to erase all your presets. Weird, not sure who thought up that one. It just seems the dev doesn't have much interest in improving this. Too bad. Could have been a contender.

Non-available stations and a Featured crash runes a great design
allRadio is an app designed to list and play internet radio stations from around the world. The player interface is clean, a black background with a yellow and white design and text. When a song is playing a two bar equalizer lights up going from green to yellow to red. Additional information such as “bit rate” and “buffering” are listed on the left side. Samples of stations are also listed on the interface.
The app was created by the French company Visuamobile so most of the stations listed are in Europe, India, the Middle East and Asia. A large listing of American stations is also available.
The two problems I came across were that under half of the Internet radio stations listed were n/a. The other problem was that the “Featured” option crashed the app every time.
Even with these two problems allRadio still provides a thousand stations to listen to from around the world. What I liked best is the players’ interface.

I had to chime in here because I Love this app!!! I am listening to live radio all day from Hindi music to French classsical, American rock or news, Russian club music, you name it! it's also a perfect way to learn a foreign language and get a more global perspective.
it does crash when you press "featured" so don't press it, no big deal. While not all of the stations work, it's fine because there are SO many to choose from it's ridiculous! Once you are on to a station you like just press Add and it will be saved to your playlist always.
This is the best 99 cents I've ever spent and my favorite app on my iPhone.
It's not for everyone, and it's not flawless, but if you are interested in Global radio coverage, music, and just want something different then get this app!

Good application but...!
This is a good application with many radio stations. However, it crashes often and if you answer in the positive when you reset the application due to "unexpected quit", you lose all your favorite stations. In addition, there are some weaknesses in the interface and response to tabs. I am looking forward to the newer and less buggy versions hopefully soon!

Really good. Good support reactivity
One of my favorite radios was missing. I asked for it, and got a quick reply indicating that they would add it as soon as they have verified the compatibility. I call this excellent support.
Two things missing though: Search and custom stations. I don't care about the volume control, we've got it on the iPhone. Great app, I'm going to give it a 5 stars as soon as I get my station and the v2 with search and custom ;-)

Shuts down/freezes/could not find good russian music that worked
Don't mind the layout or the fact that you cannot search manually. Got it for Russian music and it was very hard to figure out what type of radio stations I was looking at. Also, not sure if it was just the time in day, but I tried to play several Russian stations and they would not play. After trying a few, the player would freeze; did the same for other non-Russian stations as well. Again, this is only $0.99. TRY IT! didn't work for me, but may be perfect for you.

Should be free until stability is improved
PROS:
1. Really does have a huge amount of stations
2. Looks good
3. Has great potential
CONS:
1. Crashes alot!!! Just locks up. Many times requires a hard restart. Had this since mid August, so I have gone through multiple iPhone versions and still is freezing.
2. When using on Edge network, it is even worse, wvwn for stations that are listed as 64kbps stream
3. No update since original release
4. UI looks good but is a litlle clunky. Tough to search for stations...must scroll through to really determine if you are missing a station. Not listed well by Genre as WunderRadio does. Also UI is not accurate - WIFI and 64k always lit up
All in all, right now there are better FREE apps out there. Even though a dollar isn't alot, this is just not worth it right now.

Good but could be better
I'm suprised no one has mentioned that this application doesn't show the currently playing artist or song (if the station enables it). If it did, and you had the ability to add your own streams, this app would have been top notch. Another odd thing, is that my copy is called VisuaRadio not AllRadio. Did they do a name change right in the midst of releasing it?
*Update* I thought this apps stability problem was because of the initial 2.0 release (lots of apps were crashing), but the instability continues on into 2.1. This App desperately needs a stability fix, it crashes nearly every time I run it.

Great Start - Look forward to the updates
This makes my iPhone complete - Radio is a must have feature and this app fills the bill. Would really like to see a station search feature - by Call Letters and by content, syndication, genre. etc.... Stability is the only negative for me right now - crashes very frequently and if you are not careful and do a "reset" after a crash you loose all your personalized stations. Having Exclusive stations is not a plus for me - having more choices is important. - Now the next killer app I'm looking for is on-demand TV !

great application that could use just a little work
I'm giving this app a 5 stars just because of the station list and the look and feel of the program. I have some problems with stability though mainly it seems not to like when the phone is locked for long periods. although having chronix aggresion in my pockect is definitly worth the $1. It would be great if it could access album cover and song info streams for the stations. although I think the stability problems and the ability to add your own streams would be first own my list as a programer. I'm using the 16gb 3g iphone if that helps.

Wide selection of stations
I have the AOL (very limited selection but OK) and Pandor (very good, pick an artist and it will create a group of artist, but these are not really radio stations) AllRadio has a wide selection of options and the sound quality is OK. A couple of issues that I have are: 1) some of the titles are the same so you do not know if there is any difference between one station and another one with the same title. 2) Some of the titles are to long to be able to read so you are not sure what specific area they cover and most importantly 3) you can not keep it playing if you switch to a different application. You have to leave it within the AllRadio application if you want to continue to listen.
If they can address these items this would be a great application.

Great Start!
For an iTouch this is a great radio station. However, it does need some fixes which I assume will be on future releases. 1. a volume control 2. some station genres are blank when you open them. However there are many great stations to listen to. The sound is very clear.

This app is an ok app it works and does what it was intended to do.. but if your looking for an app to extend the aol radio then i recomend tuner its alot better. I bought this app not knowing about tuner and I regret buying this one... some of the connections dont work and it has to restart every once in a while which deletes all your bookmarks. so i dont think this app is worth the money u pay for it... just spend the extra dollar and get tuner for a better deal.

My First Flop!
This app is not worth the cost and I found it virtually worthless. Unlike Tuner (which I also bought as I adore streaming audio), large areas of this app's index of genres of stations are totally blank (including Public and international) telling me they have not done their homework or added stations where they belong. There's no spot I can see to search for a station by call letter or any other way and there are large areas with genres totally missing all data (no easy listening, no big bands to name two). I'd save my cash and buy Tuner which works like a charm and is way, way better!
