I love Ally they are great!
I absolutely love this app! I think it is perfect for someone like me who prefers to dive in head first! It is simple and as easy as one would want it to be! I was brand new to FOREX trading and this is the app I chose and started with and I am so glad I did! Thank you all keep up the great work!
Terrible
Giant spreads at daily market rollover take out stops/activate limit orders despite the price going nowhere near the level where they should be hit. Weird/glitchy missing price bars on certain timeframes that sometimes come back by cycling timeframes. Garbage.
Bad broker
Be careful with this broker, they manipulate their charts. They activated my stop loss without even reaching it. They claimed the marked was volatile. I use 4 different platforms and none of them ever reached the price from ally’s chart. Total scam

I would advise you to avoid this forex broker at all cost. Their slow server speeds and terrible customer service will cost you big time!! Stay away from them! They are a joke!!
Terrible service
Ally offers forex through Gain Financial. There is a proprietary account option, and an option for MT4. I attempted to fund a proprietary account with a debit card from Ally bank. After a week the card was rejected, stating “verification” was required with no explanation on how to verify. ACH funding directly from my checking account was almost instant. The proprietary app is so limited in features it would frustrate any active trader, and probably confuse new traders. Attempting to open an MT4 account proved impossible. Calling their customer service resulted in inaccurate information every time. Their operators claim there is information on their website that does not exist, and their automated emails exclude the information they claim will be provided. They claim that opening an account takes 1 business day after supplying additional information, which included a bank statement, ID, and written affidavit. After two weeks of attempts, 5 phone calls, and providing additional information 3 separate times, I withdrew my funding and closed the proprietary account. Bottom line is poor service, inaccurate information, and huge spreads add up to an awful brokerage. Go with literally any other company. You’ll be glad you did.

THEY STOLE MY MONEY !!!!!!!!!!
They refuse to let me take my profits out of the account and have blocked me out of my account just so I can’t get it out and when you try to call I was on hold for 3 hours and 20 mins and still never got anyone to help then i tried to contact them through their help chat and waited over an hour and they still wouldn’t give me a answer or help me in any way so now I have no control of my money and have no way to make a profit at all this was over a month ago and they still have not helped me or called me back after they said they would. This is the worst experience I’ve ever had in my life if you don’t want money go ahead and buy this app. THE ABSOLUTE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE IN THE WORLD!!!!

Market manipulation
I am in no way defacing, defrauding or accusing Ally of anything. This is all hypothetical and simply my opinion of the matter as it is my right to free speech. Ally two days in a row halted trading in the morning from so called, “technical difficulties” right as the biggest short squeeze in history was happening making me loose a lot of money. Not only that, but in my opinion, they manipulated the market by not letting you buy any shares of GME on 01/28/2021 causing the price to go down to save the hedge funds. I’m guessing that because the hedge funds would not be able to cover the shorted stocks the banks that backed them (Ally bank) would be the next to go bankrupt. So they had vested interest. This is market manipulation at its finest. By not allowing investors to buy a stock they were inherently driving the price down to save the hedge funds which I believe they have vested interest in. I hope everyone knows that Ally does not care about its investors whatsoever and this was blatantly shown. GME had an unlimited potential for growth from this short squeeze and they shut it down by doing this. I will be moving all my money out of this joke of an stock broker. Congrats Ally, you did stop the growth of GME and lost me and millions of other retail investors billions of dollars. I hope the SEC investigates this properly and whoever approved this goes to jail and the company gets a class action law suit filed against them.

Buggy app and terrible customer service
Chat takes 20 minutes just to get someone and crashes every time you get connected. Also took money from my account but still shows a $0 balance 6 business days later. Don’t get this app or this service for Forex!
Full failure mode
Have had this app downloaded for 6 months now. Have tried as least once a week to log in and have never been able to. It literally doesn’t work. Waste of time, do not waste yours.
Ridiculous company!!!!
Tried to use this brokerage app to purchase some cannabis stock before the elections but this brokerage doesn’t allow those stocks to be purchased so when I tried to transfer my money back to my bank it didn’t show my money available. They said it was an E-check (even though I linked my account to my bank account) and said I have to wait a WEEK to transfer my money back to my bank account then after that week I transferred the money back to my bank and was AGAIN told it will take another few days to post to my account. Go with FIDELITY INVESTMENTS or ROBINHOOD instead of this clown company!!!

Crashes
Why does the app crash so much?? I can’t even load my personal information without it crashing on me. I’ve deleted the app and reinstalled it at least 3 times and it continues to do the same thing.
Horrible
Does not load statements or other essential information. Will close randomly on you when trying to select any statements or account information.
Don’t even try
This thing crashes when you do anything. Haven’t even gotten a chance to make a watch list before it shuts down. Can’t use it.
Needs an update
App continues to crash on me needs a dire update! Please rebuild from the ground up and be more user friendly like Robinhood
