Difficulty with tracing

My 4 year old daughter struggles with tracing the letters on this app. She can’t get a good feel for it to make the marker move. I was struggling with it too so it’s not very user friendly.

Alphabet song

I have loved Critical Thinking Press for many years! I appreciate that they have become innovative and now have this app to help young students be better prepared!! My granddaughter and I played a couple of the games and it helps me to have a better gauge what she needs to work on. Very helpful!

Awesome!

This app is awesome for teaching the alphabet song, alphabetical order, and sequencing! Looking forward to using it in my K4 classroom!!

Doesn't work

I am really bummed this app doesn't work. I love the work books from this company and this app sounded like it had everything we needed.
Only sings the ABC song nothing else works.

Wouldn't work

Opened it, it sang ABC, tapped to play game, it sang again, but no icons were clickable. No idea how it was supposed to work as the instructions weren't clickable either.

Data gets lost

I like the app and use it to see if my kiddos are identifying their upper and lower case letters correctly, but the darn data disappears so I have to have a pencil and paper to record the data because it just disappears. I wish there was a data page to see if the child was improving instead of forcing me to figure it out on my own!

The only alphabet app you need!

If you only have one alphabet app, this should be it! I had tried EVERYTHING with my 4.5-year-old son, but working on letter recognition was ALWAYS like pulling teeth. The iPad was the only medium that would keep his attention for more than a minute, but every other app had at least one problem all but ruining it. (A MAJOR drawback to MANY apps are sound effects that can't be turned off; my son would deliberately choose incorrectly for the sake of hearing the funny noises. Others waste valuable time with unrelated and distracting entertainment.) Now, I just set a timer for 10 minutes 2-3 times each day, and my son HAPPILY works on this until the timer stops. It's *just* engaging enough and pure genius in its simplicity. This software led me to realize certain patterns and weaknesses that hadn't been apparent to me with other media. My son whom I had been very worried about is finally showing real steady progress, and I have The Critical Thinking Company to thank. I HIGHLY recommend this app for any preschooler or kindergartener. Get it; you won't regret it!
