ABC time
My kids love to play this app. I love that the kid gets to go shopping and place items in the shopping cart with the initial sound. You can have them shop for items for two beginning sounds or three. Plus there are other activities like learning formation of the letters. This is a game my kid asks to play!

Great app
This is a great app for kids to work on phonemic awareness & basic phonics! I am a special education teacher, and we have used this app to give struggling students a little extra practice that is engaging and fun. The students love it, and their ability to segment sounds improved in a few weeks!

is there supposed to be any sound? checked the app volume, my phone volume, even re-downloaded, and i can't hear anything! pls fix!
Great App
This app is great, but it continuously freezes. My child will complete one activity and try to do more or go back to the main menu, but the buttons no longer work, it just freezes. 🙁
How did they miss that 'K' and 'C' make the same sound?
In "one of these things is not like the other" game, the goal is to pick the word that starts (middles, ends) with the different SOUND. Not letter, but SOUND. Each word is shown by a picture, you press the picture and it says the word, you pick the word that starts with the different SOUND. Great -- except that the app seems to think that "k" words make a different sound than "c" words -- like a set "cookie", "cat", "cake", "kick" and the answer is 'kick" . You can't skip it, there's no way to say "stop showing me this sound", it's just wrong.
Also wish there was a way for parents/teachers to choose a focus phoneme, or control in any way which sounds come up. I like the games (apart from the fatal flaw of C & K) , especially the sorting games. I was hoping to use this to help my kid learn to sort "b" and "d" , two letters a lot of kids have trouble with, but there is zero control over what comes up.

It otfen hangs after a few "more sorts". It is actually a wonderful app. (running on iOS 8.1)
