Good it can display hPa units now…

…But lacks hPa decimal for more precise calibration, also direct altitude calibration would be great.
No ads : great feature !

As close as you get to a flight-certified alitimeter without actually being one

Update: The dev's very responsive reply fixed the issues and my Alt-O-Meter is back to "it just works"! Thank you, dev, for the quick reply! 5* and well deserved.

Kollsman window & QNH missing. QNH no longer settable or reported. Auto Calibrate button now called "Start Updates"; when active, nothing much happens but the 100' pointer hunts erratically by a few feet. iPhone 12pro/iOS 17.4.1/app v.2.1 Those issues aside, this app holds truest to an aviation altiimter of all the others Restoring the auto-calibrate feature a while back was a big plus. Hoping the current glitches are only temporary... 5-star app! (-1 for the current issues).

Response from developer

Thanks for the review! I’m glad you’re enjoying the app. In regards to your issue, please go to Settings->Alt-O-Meter and ensure that you’ve enabled the “Motion & Fitness” permission. The app needs that enabled in order to detect your ambient air pressure, otherwise it falls back on showing GPS altitude. No other motion or fitness data will be accessed by the app; only ambient air pressure. Thanks again for using my app, and I’m glad you’re enjoying it!

v2.1 has a couple of new glitches

Soon adapted

very nice design but lack the hpa setting (or mbar). So not friendly in our European countries .

Update Déc 2023: hpa setting is there. A very useful app to have.
Thanks Joshua!!

Awesome!

I love this app! Also useful for baking as recipes need to be adapted for the altitude. Love it!

Needs hPa

You need to be able to see/set pressure in hPa (which most of the world uses) as well as inHg (which is used in only a few countries).

Works well; but only QNH is user settable

It would be very handy for hiking to be able to sit to the known altitude at this location, or the stored altitude of other locations. Display is attractive and easy to read and filters noise out of the pressure readings.

Need’s metres

Love this app. But it would be useful to be able to switch it into metres.

Simple and clean design

Nice clean design and does almost exactly what I need except doesn’t support the rest of the world’s standard units. Any chance you could add mbar’s/hPa for the QNH setting, and meters for altitude? They do need to be separate settings as some countries like Australia use hPa for pressure but feet for aviation altitude.

Version 2.0 is now available with support for metric units. Enjoy!

Great

Best ever

Nice clear display, and appears to work

If there were some explanatory notes, I would happily give this five stars ... but so far, it's a matter of blind faith.

The AutoCalibrate feature certainly does something; but I know not what that might be !

The meter responds appropriately to me carrying the iPad up & down stairs [which is impressive], but I will need to check it at some O.S. benchmarks before knowing how much confidence I can have in its readings.

Altimeter

Quite accurate and reliable but needs to be able to display hPa as well as inches of Mercury.

Response from developer

Newest version now supports metric units. Enjoy!

Вндрей

Это даже программой пока рано называть

Not bad but...

Siri says I'm at 771' and your app says I'm at 739' (auto-calibrated).

One of you is off by 32' which could get someone killed.

Response from developer

Please don’t use this app in life-or-death situations.
