God awful junk

Hate this app. Would be amazing if it actually worked. Never works right. The test it accepts are worse than the ones it doesn’t. Needs serious improvements in accuracy

Amazing Insight

As an asthmatic for many years, using the Aluna device and app have helped me and my doctor unlock better breathing! I thought my asthma was well controlled, until looking at my daily scores. I was able to redo my medication regimen and feel much better now!

Great service

Kellie and Barbara Bernardino was so helpful getting me logged into my account after I messed up. Their patience and carrying to help me when I was ready to give up. Barbara actually stayed on the line and walked me through step by step reassuring me all the time. I am so thankful to Kellie each time we have a meeting. Her eagerness to help me.

Empowering

I have had asthma my whole life, this device and app have helped me learn more about my asthma that anything else. I am able to more carefully able to work with my physician to better manage my medicine and symptoms because of the awareness I have gained!

Good idea, bad in execution

The phone app is a bit buggy with small bugs. The history by week shows my 67 score from 3 days ago, however history by month completely leaves out the 67 score as my last score. The graphs don’t look similar when they should.

The largest issue is with the device electronics , as it not able to record any score on days when my asthma is bad, I blow and the rocket ship spins and a measurement can’t be taken and worst of all no record of a day if failed attempts is recorded in any history or record anywhere for me or doctor to see, and no asterisk it datapoint in tabular history or graphical history.

I feel this device is useless and fails because it can’t take a measurement on days when I need it most and should record something.

There are other small app useability changes that would be good.

I’m probably going to send it back so my insurance isn’t stuck paying for this when I don’t feel it’s helpful for the reasons noted.

App does not download results

Downloded app. Isd it for 3 days so far and it is still not showing the results for me to see but the therapist can see the results on their end. I got aluna so that I can be able to see the results as well so I will know what my son numbers are and if he is having an exacerbation. Very disappointed.

App

The app doesn’t work since IOS 16 was released and now with new update 2.7 version still doesn’t work like it’s supposed to.

Revolutionary Aluna. Thanks Barabara

Barbara was really knowledgeable, professional, patient and thorough.
Wonderful experience.
Thanks again

Love seeing my lung function daily!

I’ve been using Aluna for a couple months and it’s so easy to use. The app makes it fun to do spirometry. Aluna has empowered me to take better care of myself and has changed how I approach my lifestyle. I feel so looked after by their Respiratory Therapists who checks up on me as well.

Perfect for monitoring lung function!

Super simple and really fun way to accurately track FEV1. I’ve tried a bunch of other home-based spirometers like MIR spirobank, My Wing and Nuvo Air, but this one is the most accurate and closest to my numbers from the hospital. I’m able to easily share my data with my doctors as well.

Disappointed

I was excited to get the device, but very unhappy that you are forced to use game play to use the device. I wanted a smart device that could easily sync with Apple Health and track my PEF and FEV, but there is no easy way to view that information without having to export all your data as a PDF, 3 months at a time. It would be nice if you could have game play as an option, not a requirement to use the device, and the ability to sync results with Apple Health.

Hmmm older users

1. The app is originally designed for young users with a fun game type thing. As an adult it doesn’t do much for me.

2.The app doesn’t seem to like when your levels are below 60 or 50. I have moderate COPD and it doesn’t like my numbers and often will say try again.

3. For some reason on the app I have it doesn’t seem to properly work with the export settings maybe I haven’t done enough test. But 60+ percent of the tests I do I do not pass them and it asked me to retake it.

Super intuitive and helpful!

I’ve been beta testing for Aluna for years now and I’ve found it extremely helpful in predicting my lung and asthma-related illnesses. My numbers usually drop the day before I have an asthma attack and I take extra preventative inhalors that night and make sure to have a rescue inhalor on hand. Because of Aluna, I’ve been able to prevent most of my bad asthma days and have missed a lot less school due to being sick less.
As to the app interface itself, I love the design. It’s super intuitive and fun for kids to play. It’s designed like a game with lots of rewards for taking your FEV1 daily.
All in all, this is a great app!

Seems good

For those people who just downloaded the app to check it out should get an option to buy Aluna directly from app. Like paper by 53 sells pencil.

Moreover, you should add onboarding. Great idea :) keep it up.
