App refuses to send code
Download this app, but this app asked for a code to be to verify account but every time you send one in saying you need the code an email never shows up and there’s never been a coat so you can’t use it

Obsoleted in 3 months
The interface for home heat and air just went blackout dead. Seems to be rigidly mounted to the wall. No user guide other than this app which doesn’t work anymore and gives message to install a different app. Very bad just 3 months after install.

I believe Amana is a good company and good product but our system has been broken and they have been here to fix it over 15 times what else can I say our electric bill has twice that it should have been and still is not fixed thank you for your attention home owner.

This app is telling me that I will need to download skyport to control my thermostat starting Oct 15. I cannot find the app. What do I do?
App going away - replacement not yet in AppStore
Users get a banner message when logged into this app that says it’s going away and being replaced by SkyportHome on October 15, 2025, but the new app is not available in the App Store yet…
Too many steps
I find it cumbersome and time consuming to change temp/AC to heat and back. Too many steps for most everything.
Love this app
We love the ease with which this app operates. So easy to set and maintain our new air conditioner/ heating units cooling/heating operations.
Useful and no performance issues
I’ve been using the app with my HVAC system for about 18 months. No issues - great uptime performance, able to control my humidifier and temp, schedule is intuitive to use. No complaints.
Awful app
If I had seen the app before the AC guy installed the system, we would have gotten something else…
Disappointed
Amana Home is lacking in that there does not appear to be a way to add more than one account for people in the home and when everyone is away. Only tracks one person and if others are home Amana Home still goes to Away mode.
Also there is no weather screen saver option, like Nest has.

Amana Thermostat
It seems to be a good thermostat, it has some good features. But it would be nice if it had the amount of hours it was in use on a daily basis!!! Coming being a Sensi user for years that was a great feature. Please add that in the near future on an update! Thanks

My brand new unit has stopped working. American Home Pros won’t come out until tomorrow.
Weve purchased three units from them in the last year. So much for friends and family plan.
Poor user experience
Awkward to use compared to others i have used. Temp range set by slider/arrows not able to type in number. Schedule seems to need to be set separately for each day of week not week/weekend. Seems only one phone can access the phone app. My husband has it on his. Can’t get it on mine.
Great App but could be even better
All the functionality of the Amana thermostat is in the app but some simple key data would improve usefulness. It would be awesome if system usage time was visible in the app and from the thermostat like other apps (e.g. Sensi app) have. Time in hrs & min my system spends by day heating, cooling, dehumidifying would be a great addition to see.

I don’t like the interface at all. It also looses connectivity too easily and too often.
Mostly though I cannot stand the fact that it has a range that you set the thermostat to. I would prefer one set temperature, not a range.
Another feature that would make it better would be having the ability to set the fan on to more than just once an hour
I had a Nest Thermostat and had to replace it with the Amana one as Nest was not compatible with the Amana A/C unit. Damn.

Hot summer but my Amana AC is working really really great

Replacement unit
This unit replaced the original unit from 24 years ago. It not only is better and SMARTER than the original, it's smarter than me. Cooling/dehumidifying is stone cold and quiet as a church mouse. We have increased the temperature setting from 69 degrees to 72 and it's as cool now as it was with the original unit. And the outside unit can't even be heard unless you're right next to it and even then it's barely audible. And it has a setting for night time to cut the noise even further. All kinds of energy saving features. It's absolutely amazing. I'll update this come cold weather to determine how it heats.
