Can’t connect.

I have spent over 2 hours going through the algorithm to connect the garage door to my phone. The app doesn’t connect despite multiple attempts. This seems to be a common finding with most reviews. I will buy a secondary device in order to use the garage door remotely.

Doesn’t work

Won’t connect, searched and google over and over! I’m mad the garage door guy sold me this piece of crap! Remotes don’t work half the time either. I have a brand new iPhone 11...so lame!

Cannot connect to Entrematic servers!!!!

It will randomly allow you to connect. When you can login to the app, it is very slow even with an access point in the garage.

Early in dev lifecycle

This app is early in the development lifecycle and performs basic functionality but seems to be missing some key components of a mature IoT app namely

Basic Functionality:
- Firmware information and manual force update
- Ability to add devices to the account that are already on the local WiFi network
- Fine grain control of notifications for each door and each door function
- Remote Reset
- Reducing locked up UI overlay showing “Connecting..” or “Loading..” every time a menu button is used.
- More consistent add tutorial where the “Tap Notification to return to app” actually works. When switching to the settings app, either navigate to the main menu or the WiFi settings rather than the app settings menu
- Improved integration with latest iOS GUI including “Dark Mode”

Roadmap:
- Native Amazon Key Integration
- Consolidation of Amarr & Linear apps and account back-end

Loses programmed devices ever

The app version 1.72 is horrible. I need to pair my opener with my iPhone app every time I open it. iPhone 8+ on latest version of iOS. As an it professional in a development company I have no idea how this release made it past QA.

The garage door openers themselves work well. Just bought them and had them professionally installed. Worth the extra money? Not if they use WiFi control of doors as a selling point.

Please uninstall and reinstall Entrematic via the App Store and ensure you sign back into your account that has the paired garage door. App Crashes on iPhone XS Max

App used to work just fine on iPhone 7 Plus, it does not work, I repeat it does not work at all on iPhone Xs Max. It crashes on login. I uninstalled app and installed again and no joy. I can see from reviews that this was reported back in October yet no fix yet.

App crashes before opening on iPhone XS

App worked great when I had my iPhone 6s. I upgraded to the XS and I cannot open the app. It crashes as soon as I click to open it. Some developer help would appreciated.

TouchID/FaceID crashes app

Thank you for reporting this issue. As touch id is not supported on iPhone X and later we're working on a fix to disable this feature. We'll provide the update very soon.

Three big issues

1) My sister and I loaded the app and set-up to use our iPhones. My picture and name are her, not me. And I cannot open the door.

2) In the history of this brand new garage door opener is 2 year old notices.Does that mean this “new” garage door is actually already used?!?!?!

3) Notice quantity is crazy (as in other posts) but more importantly, can there be a way to edit or delete them to conserve space?

Cool potential, but there is a notification bug

Every time my garage opens, closes, or the light goes on or off, I get literally 10 duplicate push notifications for each function that occurs. It used to only be 8 duplicate push notifications so it has gotten worse. I have an iPhone 7. The functionality of being able to remotely open or close garage is very cool and useful. I just don’t need 40 push notifications everytime someone comes home. Would like 1 for opening, 1 for light on, 1 for closing, 1 for light off. Or 1 for opening combined with light on since those events happen simultaneously. Then 1 for closing, and 1 more later for light off since there is a delay to turn the light off, for a total of 3 push notifications per complete cycle. Once that is corrected I am happy to update my review.

Thank you for your review. Great idea! We are always seeking new ways to improve our users' experience. Please look for an update that decreases the number of notifications received per door operation in the next version release. We hope that you'll consider revising your rating once the concerned is addressed.

App needs some work

App works with opening and closing garage door remotely, but the constant notifications are almost unbearable. It sends you a notification every time the door opens, closes, and when the light turns on and off. At least give the user options of what to be notified of. I don't need to get a notification every single time the garage door light turns off, and I just need to know the door has been shut after its opened, or a notification that the door has been open for a certain amount of time.

We are working on additional updates to grant the user more control over notification settings. The application allows enabling or disabling notifications from the native Settings app. Open the Setting app, locate and select the Amarr Entrematic Door App, select Notifications, and either turn on or off notifications.
