About

Photograph an insect and find out what it is. The identification runs on your phone, in about a second, with no account and no connection needed. NO ACCOUNT NEEDED Open the app and identify. Matching happens on the device against a library of confirmed reference photographs, so it works in a cellar, in a loft, with no signal. Add a cloud check when you want a second opinion. The photograph stays on your phone unless you ask for that check, and nothing is stored on our servers. Treatment advice is not included without an account. Control guidance is written for qualified technicians and assumes a site survey, product training and COSHH records, so we do not hand it to an anonymous user. If you have an infestation at home or at work, contact a professional. FOR PEST CONTROL PROFESSIONALS An organisation account turns the same app into a working record system. WORKS OFFLINE, PROPERLY Identification, counting and job records all work with no signal. Captures, monitor checks and voice notes queue on the phone and send themselves when a connection returns. EVIDENCE, NOT OPINIONS Every capture carries its photograph, GPS position, timestamp, device, and the exact model version that identified it. Monitor boards are photographed and counted, so "activity: medium" becomes "34, then 12, then 3". AN EXPERT STAYS IN THE LOOP Low-confidence identifications are flagged for review in the office console. An expert's verdict overrides the model, is named and dated, and corrections feed back into the reference library. YOUR OWN SPECIES Add a pest we do not ship with. Upload a few photographs and both the on-device and cloud models learn it. REPORTS A CUSTOMER CAN READ Branded inspection reports with findings, treatments, monitor trends and signatures. HONEST ABOUT ITS LIMITS Identifications are decision support for a qualified technician, not a laboratory determination. Confidence figures are model certainty, not a guarantee. Where a photograph cannot settle it, the app says so rather than inventing an answer. Organisation accounts are set up by us. Contact amaya.technology.

What's New in Amaya PestID

1.2

August 12, 2026

Faster identification on the phone. A new on-device model, distilled from the previous one, is under half the size and more accurate, so identification is quicker on mid-range handsets and still works with no signal at all. A complete field guide. Every pest in your list now has a photograph and a full reference entry: size, key features, look-alikes and biology, in one searchable list that works offline. Entries written automatically from the taxonomy rather than by our entomologists say so on the entry. Many more species. A catalogue of over 300 pest taxa can now be enabled for your organisation without waiting for an app release. Confidence you can read. On-device confidence is now a calibrated probability rather than a raw similarity score, so a stated percentage means what it says. Better in the field. Cloud verification retries on its own when signal returns, and a species that does not occur where you are is no longer offered ahead of one that does.
