Honest opinion

The map needs a serious update. There is no ability to zoom out which causes you to search a lot when using filters. That paired with the AI descriptions of restaurants with no list of what might be on the menu its seriously under developed. And the people say section leaves you with no understanding of the experience. One restaurant had descriptions “Cool”, “fine”, and “Fince”, which isn’t a word. Definitely needs a lot of work to be a good location guide app.

Thank you for taking the time to share such detailed feedback and for giving Ambient a try. The map is currently designed to help users explore restaurants in their immediate area, but we understand how greater flexibility with zooming and filters would improve the experience. We’re also working on adding direct menu links in an upcoming update. At its core, Ambient is meant to help people understand the atmosphere, energy, and overall experience of a restaurant not just what food it serves or how it’s rated. Feedback from people who have actually visited each location plays an important role in helping us communicate that. I've found some new spots in my neighborhood that I had never been to and and I'm super happy I tried! Also great for planning dinners with friends in places none of us have tried

I use this every time I eat out now

Searching for a place to eat out at has genuinely never been easier, with Ambient it’s not about the restaurant. It’s about the vibe it provides and the atmosphere which (outside of the food) is arguably the most important factor when picking a place to eat. Fantastic app, if you don’t wanna waste time on where to eat out next get Ambient.
