Amboss vs UWorld
I’ve completed UWorld question banks multiple times. For me, Amboss is just better. It feels like less of a grind and key concepts are more easily captured and explored
Text size
The app doesn’t allow you to make the text size bigger. It’s anoying because you have to keep the phone or the ipad very close so uou can read otherwise it’s very small and you will end up having headaches because of the amount of concentration you have to make
Works well!
Like that I can download exams and use offline.

AMBOSS is one of the best learning tools and question banks to use. My problem with the app is that they don’t allow you to adjust text size which makes it very hard to read
Wish it had the same features as desktop version
I wish it had the same features to access study schedules and programs from the desktop version. Would have been useful to see here.
Love Amboss… the app could use work
It’s nice to be able to do questions on the go when I need to when I’m in rotations but it’s a bit annoying because I can’t use the links for articles for certain topics… there seems to be a bug. Also a bit annoying that when you pull up labs to check reference ranges you can’t see the question stem at the same time and the reference range sheet is the smallest font ever.

AMBOSS is excellent but poor app
Amboss is excellent. The questions and bank of information have been invaluable.
The app has issues though:
-The light mode only is annoying
-the app will randomly just go blank while doing question sets and I have to exit out to make the question reappear
-the images frequently have a bar along the bottom that covers part of the image and makes them illegible when reviewing the graphics that go Along with the answer choices

Just go back to UWorld
You know it’s bad when capitalism has hit the med school question banks hard. Amboss used to be great when i first started using their library years ago. At one point I realized they had been charging me for 2 separate accounts for over a year and when it was brought to their attention they just gave a “whoops” kind of answer and never refunded me the full amount. The question bank has had technical issues since they created it. And their technical support has one answer “I’m sorry i can’t recreate the issue on my end” like okay but I can and I paid yall thousands of dollars for access to something I can’t access. So the last straw for me was the app never says what kind of access you have or when it expires. And today I got a popup saying I can’t access a question set that i completed, and want to review because my unlimited access expired yesterday. Mind you, I still pay for library access which should give me 50 questions a month, can’t have that now either. It should expire in April but Amboss seems really tight on cash if they’re trying to hustle money from poor medical students. With the amount of money I’ve given amboss, i could’ve paid for 5 of their “lifetime memberships” they used to offer before they sold out.

Useful app but could you please add a feature to increase font size? The font size is foo small on the iPad

Missing a key feature, good otherwise
How on earth is this missing the ability to highlight text in questions? Seems like a very basic feature for an app designed to do problems on.
Night mode would be great too. But otherwise good app.

Is it available qbank for MCCQE?
TLDR: Good app if you accept the user interface
First off AMBOSS is gold tier. They have an incredible, extensive database. This app doesn’t really give AMBOSS though so don’t base buying a membership off this (membership is worth it just do it). This app though is giving unfinished. I think the main issue is just ui, although I appreciate the same consistency in aesthetic across AMBOSS platforms. Don’t get me wrong this is so good for doing practice questions on the fly and making things less boring. Like for example, you can hide the answers and guess before revealing them and rule them out (which the web browser version does not?). Highlighting with an Apple Pencil does not work well - when you finish a question it highlights what you should have highlighted instead of those orange/brown underlines seen in the web browser version. Also, You cannot directly access study plans made by AMBOSS through this app - you have to start a question session on the web browser before doing it on the app. The Anki card download feature thing isn’t on here either. I know this app is just for questions, but it seems like the ui flow/features should be a little more advanced given what AMBOSS has produced product-wise so far.

Nicely structured questions with very detailed answers with nicely made graphs/pictograms/pictures and links to text

Needs improvement
There needs to be a dark mode option available. I'm still surprised that AMBOSS has not done this yet. I love the content though. Doing a great job.
Can’t highlight, can’t mark questions

Why is there no dark mode? And I can’t start a new block of questions for my study plan on my iPad.

Font is too small
Font is too small, can barely read the questions so I haven't been able to use it like I want to.
