Too many ads and glitches
The ads and glitches are synonymous it seems, I’m trying to watch the show I got the free trial for, and I definitely won’t be renewing. Most of the ads glitch out my show and when I refresh I’m met with another ad, which also has a 50% chance to glitch out again. It’s a torturous cycle. Don’t try going back either if you miss anything, you’ll get another 30 second ad. It’s actually ridiculous.

I enjoy AMC+ but would like a little more control on the continuing watching. You can’t remove the shows or movies from that row unless you watch the entire show or movies. If I start something and find that I don’t like watching it I have to fast forward to the end so that it leaves that continuing watching row.

Great content deserves better app
AMC has a lot of good content, especially with their original shows, but needs to clean up their app. Loading, casting, even turning subtitles on is a hassle and the app crashes mid-episode more than not. However I do choose to tolerate it because they are investing in interesting, high-quality content.

Very glitchy
The movies and shows are amazing!! So worth the money. However, it doesn’t matter what device I’m watching on the app will glitch. It won’t play the next episode. Or when I back out and try to select the next episode the whole thing seizes up. Currently looking at a black screen that won’t respond to anything. Roku tv, iPhone or iPad, Samsung tv. All do the same thing

Remove shows from “continue watching” I already saw!!!
Update 2026. Roku App on tv always crashes and won’t play shows. Also, still can’t remove things from continue watching. Old Review: Why on earth can I not remove things from the “continue watching” that I either don’t want to finish watching or that I have already seen? It will not let me remove things, even if I fast-forward all the way to the end, and I’ve already seen it. I will be canceling this when I finish what I’m watching. Why can you not have such a basic option to remove things you don’t want in your queue? Aside from that very major annoyance, It is extremely buggy and the picture quality is terrible even when everything else on other apps looks great. Fix it!!!!

100% Worth It Solely for IWTV
The overall catalog is for a pretty niche group but it is so worth it just for AMC’s Interview with the Vampire adaptation. Seriously one of the best, most beautifully written shows I have ever watched and it deserves all the support in the world. Release more seasons!!
Poor Quality & Function
The Apps performance is spotty at best. If you stop an episode partially viewed, it won’t resume play. It freezes and never replays the episode. Sometimes you can fool it by watching a different episode & then go back to watch it, but sometimes you’re just out of luck. I didn’t pay much for the app and really only got it for Dark Winds because rest of your programming is lacks variety or originality-witches, vampires and zombies, oh wait, serial killers, ghosts & psychopaths - repeat, but it is disappointing it doesn’t work

Anne Rice’s Immortal Universe Shows
AMC found the perfect cast and writers and producers to lift Anne’s world off the pages of her books and bring them to television. SAM REID could not possibly be a better embodiment of Lestat De Lioncourt. He is consistently a delight and a terror and a surprise. JACOB ANDERSON as Louis De Pointe Du Lac is the Louis we failed to get when Brad Pitt played opposite Tim Cruise in 1994. The two are brilliant as the immortal vampire lovers. AMC had the guts to keep Anne’s characters queer and it’s wonderful. She would have enjoyed these shows very much. I wish Talamasca had made it and lasted. I thought it was wonderful. Mayfair Witches didn’t hook me in any way, but that’s alright too. I could shout out other AMC shows too, Dark Winds. Beautifully adapted and lovingly acted. Perfect cast, every detail respectfully accurate to the Navajo People and The Four Corners region.

Bro can I even finish one single movie????
The amount of times this app crashes, or just simply will not load a movie altogether…. . . … is absolutely wild. It has taken me days to finish forbidden fruit and I’m still not done with it. I guess i will be canceling my subscription :/
Restart and playback issues
Terrible app on phone and Tv you start an episode and didn’t finish it won’t play on the tv. can’t even restart and episode and have to scrub through but you have to watch an ad first and by the time the ad is over it’s too late to go back. i literally cannot stop and episode and pick back up because this app is terrible and i paid money just to specifically watch doctor who and i can’t watch it thoroughly.

this app is absolutely amazing. I remember being so upset when Doctor Who was removed from HBO Max, but this app has Doctor Who wanted it and I don’t even understand why people have rated it so slowly
Freezes
I have to remove & reinstall the app just about every day. If I watch a show and have to pause, it will not let me continue where I left off. Also mad that Shudder cancelled The Last Drive In and now all the episodes are disappearing.

Worst Streaming App Yet
I'm a senior UI/UX designer and this is the worst streaming app I've ever came across. It is non user friendly in just about every way possible. Things that are typically standard, simple and straightforward are made unnecessarily difficult. I hate this app. The content on it is also very limited with an insane amount of ads. I will be canceling the free trial.
