AMCAL app
It’s the worst app I’ve ever used. No matter what I do I need to TRY to log in, I can’t even see my meds because it doesn’t accept my activation code. And I tired of telling the app I’m human, every time I try to log in. REALLY , make sure it works before you release it. If I could rate it less than 1, I would.
I’m sure once I can get it to work it’ll be great but it is no good to me right now. I need to get to Chemist to sort it out 🤞but had a stroke and can’t drive. I need to manage meds and that’s not possible as it is. Oh well it is what it is; right now wasted space.

Makes life easier
Having the luxury of ordering my medicines through my phone it is very convenient, the number of prescriptions I have left or not always updated accurately but I still think this is a very good application for people who are on regular medicine

Good app
The app is good most of the time but has been a little buggy of late. The most recent problem is the app closing unexpectedly, makes it hard to pre order my medication if the app doesn’t work

This app crashes way too often, or just refuses to open. Please fix this or provide an alternative.

Problems with update August 2025
Extra layers of security make this previously perfect app very hard to use on my phone. Who can remember a long password and also a pin? Currently cannot log out, the app is frozen in some loop on its home screen. Who does this security really protect? A solution in search of a problem. Unsure if deleting and reinstalling will help. Presently unusable.

Too slow
While it’s a great idea the app is SOOOO slow! Sometimes it gets stuck on saying to input the code even though it has Face ID. It’s only getting worse over time. The last month has been the worst!

Hopeless app
I’m having the same issue as almost every other review. App won’t let me sign in to my existing account. Seems like an ongoing problem that’s never been fixed.
Disgrace
Terrible app, the login/account creation is useless you have to try 10 times to create an account the 30 times to successfully login , because the session has expired when it hasn’t even started
Slight bug in the scripts section
I use this app FREQUENTLY and the scripts section is great except for one small issue my psychiatrist just issued a new script for one of my meds and it says I have 7 repeats because another medication I was on was unable to be obtained due to a shortage so I asked if we could adjust then support med , he obliged and we adjusted but seems the app didnt cause now says I have 7 repeats and on the print out on the cartons it says 2

Unstable
Regularly freezes requiring me to delete and reinstall the app. Great but unrealised potential
Log in ??
For the first time on forever the app is asking me to log in. Changed my password but it still won’t log me in … grrrr!
If only
This app is great when it’s working but I’m sick to death of having to reinstall the app, restart my iphone or both because it’s frozen up. Very frustrating & time wasting to the extent that I’m seriously considering leaving it completely. If only it was reliable.
A bit of a mess
Doesnt sync with digital prescriptions easily at all. I doesnt seem to know what drug ive indicated. Im not going to use it because it seems unreliable
Great idea but glitchy
Great idea and a useful tool but very glitchy. Screen crashes and blanks a lot.
Confusing & unreliable
Used to be great until ~1-2 years ago. I now somehow have multiple records for some medications. Says some “Not yet supplied” when supplied multiple times & others “unknown”. As a result the list of medications is long & sometimes I can’t order from the app.

Needs privacy/security update
Very annoying. Needs something to alert pharmacy staff when they are adding scripts to the wrong account. This has occurred to me 3 times now. And now the app won’t let me delete finished or the other persons scripts from my home screen.
