I have bought this game for the last 6 years. It is superb practice for leaning a new card. I will surely buy it. Thanks for the great app. I teach the game in my community and recommend this app to all my student. It shows them what hands can be played and helps to learn the card very quickly.

They don’t have all the hands. Some hands are not in the card.
Very enjoyable but not perfect. I mahj with the last hand of 2468, and the software did not recognize my hand.

Not for beginners
This app has a instant paywall for the 2026 (edition ). There is a 2018 version for free. However when you open it, it assumes you know how to play. Tells you to pick 3 tiles from your “hand” and drag one off. But no explanation of what are the objectives…or how the suits are made up. Wouldn’t be good for someone who is just learning. As Im just learning, Im deleting and choosing another app

I am getting a better understanding of the rules such as use of flowers and jokers. Which category and line to select on the card is improving. I don’t like pairs.

I rarely review apps. I know, I know. I’m compelled to review this one because it has been so extremely helpful to me. I am a beginner, just learned a couple months ago, and this app has been invaluable, helping me practice and teaching me when I can and cannot do certain very specific things. It’s also been extremely helpful in recognizing potential Mahjongs and in becoming more adept and faster at the Charleston. Well worth the price for now, but afraid I can’t afford to keep it once I feel really secure in my play. I wish I could. It would be so wonderful if there was an annual subscription that offered a significant price break.

It’s not a subscription so it won’t renew automatically but it’s a significant price break :) For 2026 we will have that option again. It’s like buying your card every year. I like playing this on my phone and it’s definitely upped my game. You do have to be discerning with the app’s recommended hands because they are based only on numbers of tiles you have.
