It’s okay

Thank you for trying Amiora and for telling us what got in the way. You're right that holding the mic down for every turn gets tiring. A hands-free mode is in its final tests and coming very soon, so you'll be able to just talk. The free version has limits because the AI behind each conversation is expensive to run. Thank you for your understanding.

Glitchy
The app has promise, but I’m giving up on this one and going to try another one now. Hopefully one day they can work out the kinks.

Hi, thank you for trying the app, and thank you for letting us know. We found a bug in the mid-October version that could stop the app from hearing you during Speak conversations, and the fix is in the current version. If you'd like to give it another try, updating the app should get your voice replies working again. We're glad the first few minutes felt good, and we'd love for the rest to feel the same.
Great app but the microphone needs serious improvement
Unfortunately, this is where the app falls short. Reliable voice recognition is essential for a language-learning app, especially when practicing pronunciation and speaking. I hope this issue is addressed soon. Otherwise, the app risks becoming just another language-learning platform that users will eventually lose interest in and overlook.

Hi, thank you for trying Amiora, and for describing exactly what happens. You were right that it wasn't your voice or your room: on iPhone, a bug made the app discard short spoken replies as silence. It's fixed in the current version, so please update from the App Store and give Speak another try. If it still can't hear you after updating, we'd really like to know.
