About
Write it down, forget it, remember sometimes.
Amnesia Notes is not a journal to keep up with. Write a line, close the app, and it's done. Nothing nags, nothing waits to be finished.
After a while, what was written comes back on its own: a line from exactly a year ago, or two unrelated notes that happen to land side by side. When there is nothing to surface, it just says so.
No folders, no tags, no templates, no boards. Just one timeline and a search box.
Everything is encrypted on the device before it leaves. The server only ever sees ciphertext; not even the people who built this app can read it. Lose the password and the recovery key, and the notes are gone for good. That's the cost of end-to-end encryption.
No account needed to start: open the app and write, and the notes stay on this device. An email sign-up is only needed to sync across devices, still end-to-end encrypted.
No push notifications, no badge on the app icon. A scheduled note doesn't ring when it's due; a small number shows on the Me tab and clears once Me is opened.
AI is off by default. When it's on, a personal API key is tried first, then the shared platform key. Either way the request passes through the server once; the text is not saved or logged, and the server never keeps a personal key.
In English and Chinese, switched under Me → Settings.
