About
Your photos already hold your life. Amoli lets you ask it.
Amoli reads your photographs — every one of them, one at a time — and writes
back what it finds: who is there, where it seems to be, what was happening.
Then you can ask.
It does this entirely on your iPhone. The model lives on your phone. Your
photographs, your words, and everything Amoli writes about them never leave
it. There is no account to make, no server to sign in to, and nothing to
upload.
HOW IT WORKS
It reads. Each photograph gets a plain description, written on the device.
It learns who matters. Name a face once and Amoli calls that person by name
wherever they appear.
It writes back. Ask about your own past — or let it compose a reverie from
what it has found.
WHAT'S INSIDE
Reveries — Ask for your patterns, a season, a place, a person. Amoli composes
real prose from what it has read, with your own photographs set into the page.
Colloquy — A conversation with your own past. When were we in Kobe? What did
we do that spring? Every answer comes from your library, never from the
internet.
Threads — The subjects that run through your days: a cafe, a trail, a
friendship. Amoli notices them and follows them across years.
People — The faces that recur, named once and known thereafter.
Places — Everywhere your moments were collected, on a map you can wander.
Look back — This day, across every year you have kept.
Reflections — A moment from today, held against one from years past.
Montages — Cards Amoli makes from your journeys, your people, your threads.
Yours to keep, and nothing leaves unless you send it.
Collect — Keep a moment as it happens: photographs, and words in your own
hand.
YOUR LANGUAGE
Amoli works in English, Spanish and French — and it reads your photographs in
the language you keep, so you can ask for them in it too.
PRIVACY IS THE WHOLE DESIGN
No account. No server. No analytics. No advertising. No third-party
tracking. Nothing about you is collected, because there is nowhere for it to
go. Deleting the app deletes everything it holds.
WHAT IT ASKS OF YOU
The model is a large one-time download over Wi-Fi. Reading a whole library
takes hours rather than minutes — Amoli reads while you use it and keeps
going in the background. Nothing waits on it: your journal works from the
first moment, and the readings deepen behind you.
Amoli asks a great deal of the phone, so it launches on the
higher-performance iPhone models first.
