Review of AI Music Generator SongMaker: A Frustrating and Unreliable Experience
I wanted to give AI Music Generator SongMaker a fair chance, but after multiple failed attempts, I can confidently say this is one of the worst AI music generators I’ve used. The limitations are frustrating right from the start. The app doesn’t allow you to upload your own lyrics, which is a major flaw for anyone wanting to turn their own words into music. Instead, it forces you to rely on its lyric generation, which is incredibly restrictive—only allowing a 200-character description for your song.
Even when following their process, the app simply doesn’t work. I input all the necessary details, watch as it supposedly generates from 0 to 100, and then—an error. No song, no explanation, just a complete failure. I attempted this multiple times, thinking maybe it was a one-off issue, but the problem persisted every single time.
Out of frustration, I decided to test its pre-generated lyrics to see if at least the music generation function worked. Once again, errors. I encountered numerous errors within just 30 minutes of use. For a subscription price of $9.99 per week, this is unacceptable. Worse yet, the app didn’t initially show alternative plans, pushing users into the most expensive option.
Compared to other AI music generators, this one is cheaply built, unreliable, and full of bugs. The constant crashing and inability to actually produce music make it completely useless for anyone looking to create or experiment with AI-generated songs. While $9.99 isn’t a huge amount, it’s absurd to pay for something that simply does not function as advertised.
I strongly do not recommend this app until they fix these major issues. If you’re looking for an AI music generator, look elsewhere—this one is a waste of time and money.
