Hotone released a firmware update and now the app and Ampero Control works on iOS devices!
Issues with iOS 26
While it can connect with the current iOS version, saving to Ampero Control doesn’t work properly. Had to use an iPad with an older OS to make it work. Needs another update plus a dedicated PC/Mac application ASAP.
New update still bricked!!!
This new update fixed nothing. I’m still unable to connect to my ampero control. Just make a pc app already!

Warning - Seems like when you are buying Hotone gear, you’re actually getting a short term rental. I can’t believe they are still selling this when the app doesn’t work. It’s not functional without the app so IMO still selling it worse than vapourware; it’s theft. I had a similar experience with their Xstomp. Loved it until the support disappeared and then it’s a brick.

FIXED: Does what it is supposed to now after Un/Re Install
UPDATE: I Uninstalled and Reinstalled as some other reviewer had said. IT WORKS NOW. It finds and Connects Now. Does no longer work after iOS update 26.x. No response from developer, yet they continue to sell this controller and advertise it can be programmed using iOS. Bull Droppings!!!!!Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!PLEASE. PLEASE. PLEASE. FIX!!!!!Please update your app to work with ios26!!!!!!!! Never connects to Ampero device. Finds it then will not connect. Spent an hour troubleshooting. It’s a no go. I want my money back!!!!

No longer works on new iOS
They haven’t updated the app to work with iOS 26, so you need an old iPhone or iPad for this to work and to use your ampere control at all. Wasted money on the whole unit, really spurs the whole brand by not allowing hardwired connection or updating the app…
No iOS 26 compatibility
Hotone has not released an update to fix this issue so I had to get rid of the device. Absolutely ridiculous.

Why doesn't the publisher upgrade the version to be compatible with iOS 26 operating system?

My midi controller is now worthless as I can no longer update the configuration. The only way to update is through a 2 year old app that no longer works.
Fixed
I couldn’t get mine to sync after upgrading to ios 26. I read things and about lost hope. On a whim, I deleted the app and reinstalled it and guess what? No issues. Hope this helps some peeps.

App won’t connect to the controller anymore and you give us no other way of editing! This is unacceptable!
Doesn’t work with iOS
Any iOS after 18 doesn’t work with the app. They haven’t updated it in 2 years yet they still sell the pedal with NO disclosure that it is a brick if you have iOS.

When are you fixing this? Dozens of complaints going back months. I just bought this thing and I can’t use it.
Dead in the water; terrible
It worked for a week just when I was getting ready to use it and then they said iOS did an update and it no longer works and now it’s been I’m guessing six weeks. So I simply cannot use it as no other way to configure this thing. Therefore useless.
