after using this daily for a year i have reduced my rating due to all these bugs. developer does not seem to update this anymore.

Missing CarPlay integration
Very nice Jellyfin player. Definitely needs CarPlay support though.
Please add multi library support
The app music libraries are dumped together. Please add the ability to choose a specific jellyfin library. Just a shame that it doesn’t support this. Also it looks like my library isn’t updating when I add new music? I have tried refreshing and logging back in without change. Otherwise downloads work great and looks great.

happy that i’ve purchased this and as the other user said, it does look very much like the native Music app which is what i’m looking for.
i would like to make a feature request please. on Apple Music, in the Songs (tracks) view, you can swipe on the scroll bar from A-Z which AmpFin doesn’t have. it’d be great if this could be implemented as it makes it easier to jump to a certain artist in the list

This feels like what Apple would have done if they’d made a Jellyfin app. For a second, I thought I was using Apple Music — amazing work!
Fantastic
Best Jellyfin music client I’ve come across by a country mile. Looks like a native Apple app, great colour integration (?) and is the only app that gives you a proper library view for your downloaded music rather just a doom-scroll list of songs/albums. Call me fussy but that’s the main reason I ditched Plex.
My only bit of feedback from a UI perspective is I’d like it if there was a bit less dead space around the play/rewind buttons? On my iPhone SE, the album art is pushed all the way to the top of the screen but there’s tons of free space at the bottom which makes it look unbalanced.
It looks fine on the Mrs’ iPhone 15 and my iPad though.

I just recently switched from Plex to Jellyfin and have been testing out different apps to stream my music library. This was exactly what I was looking for. Highly recommend!

High quality app
Well designed and functional app for Jellyfin server music. Could you the addition of the Genres section which seems to be missing altogether and the ability to download your favorite songs from the favorite menu. A bit pricey but I want to support the developer
Jellyfin instance not found
All of my Jellyfin clients running on iPhone, iPad and Mac can connect to my Jellyfin server. But with AmpFin, when I try to get it to connect, I just get the error “Jellyfin instance not found”. I am putting in the http://192.168.X.X:8096, but it does not connect…
Great UI, Close to Perfect
Fantastic app, great work on it. Saves me the trouble of developing my own client.
Two notes:
- I would enable artist/album artist view for downloaded music. It’s my most used view in other apps, and it’s the only thing keeping this app from being perfect.
- Is it possible to have the #-Z side selection for the artist/album artist view? It makes scrolling through many artists more laborious than necessary.
Edit: just updated, and it wiped out my downloaded collection. Any possibility this can be avoided?

The progress bar has finicky controls as well, but that’s a nitpick.
It would definitely be the best Jellyfin Music app if not for these glitches in the basic things you would want to do in a music app.

Hey, I aware of these issues and plan on addressing them. I was unable to release updates up to a few days ago (I had to verify my trader status), but I will temporarily remove the now playing gradient, which causes these issues (as far as I can tell only since iOS 18 got released), and fix the queue soon. The long term plan is to make some drastic changes ti the way AmpFin is organised and create a custom Metal based gradient, but like all good things this sadly takes time. But than you for your feedback and for recognising the potential.
Good but buggy
The player works great and has a lot of good features like infinite queue and live lyrics. Very nice animations too and very clean design. However there are occasional freezes and some laggy animations.

I think I found the cause already, it’s probably related to volume changes and I am looking into implementing a fix.
Best Jellyfin Player
This is my favorite Jellyfin Music player by far. I have been following the project before it was even listed on the App Store and it’s been fun to see it come along. Love the quick support for new features like lyrics. Keep the good work up.
How did I only now find this?
I've recently started building a music library built on top of Jellyfin and was looking for a client for my phone that would support background playback and be built specifically for music, as the official Jellyfin app on IOS was not a great fit for music. I found AmpFin and decided to give it a shot, and man am I happy I found it. This app is so polished and performant, I genuinely hope this picks up popularity as it greatly deserves it!
