Brilliant concept, left to break and rot

The AMPLIFi product line fit perfectly into my living room music lifestyle, enriching life with instruments in social settings that would otherwise be limited to passive background music. The physical product sounds great as a Bluetooth speaker, works as a computer recording interface, and makes playing along new and fun. The flexibility and selection of effects shines even when compared to a newer Spark amp. Allowing the community to contribute tones and popularity to dictate easy access is another example of how much fun and practicality this system could have offered.

Sadly this system never worked without crashing or otherwise breaking more than one in 10 times or about ten minutes per hour spent trying. When it was new there were still occasional updates, and I wanted so badly for it to work. I also kept my numerous iPhones/iPads over the years up to date and tried android devices as well. Since we’ve seen that it CAN work, and other Line6 products do work, I was never able to just write this off and stop trying. That’s probably why I’m so bitter that they failed to fix the bugs then stopped trying completely far as I can tell.

Ten years later, I’ve only actually been able to enjoy this for a day a month. I never trusted it enough to bring to a gig or jam session. It’s a perfect example of a real shame.

Line6, feel free to fix mine so I can get back some small percentage of those wasted hours and lost inspiration 😞

Doesn’t work with iPhone 15 anymore

Used to like this thing and the amp, but since upgrading to iPhone 15 Pro, I can only play music through the amp. Can’t get guitar to make a single sound.

Not so good

Alright app but only good if they updated it and made it possible to actually use the amp

Drops Connection

This has a lot of potential but it looks like it was put out and abandoned, which is heart breaking. The amp is great.

The only flaw, which is significant and very common, is that the connection between the amp and the remote app drop all the time!

As a Bluetooth speaker the connection is fine. It’s the app that can’t sustain a connection for some reason. I’ve updated the firmware on the amp and it still drops a lot.

I wish Line 6 would do something about this.

Goodbye line 6

I have spent a small fortune over the years and owned a fair few of line 6 offerings but this is rubbish the app is the worst I have used which is a great pity as the ams a pretty good but to not be able to connect to BT is ridiculous as the amp is useless without it ! .. I’m moving over to spark now as they have it sorted !
Goodbye line 6 👋

Firmware Update

The latest firmware update just completely made the amp useless. It is the most expensive paperweight I own now. I used the line 6 updater and the amp won’t load It and the phone app keeps asking to update the firmware and then I load the firmware again and same thing happens. It was a good amp while It lasted.

AMPLIFi

Awful app for a decent amp it’s a shame

C**ts

Title says it all.

Best amp of all time

Download Beatles tones or any tones created by others. Syncs to my amp,if I 150 pedal. Begging you line 6 never do away with this app the 150 or that fbv short board mkh . BUY THE SHORTBOARD!!!!

Crashes if BT connected first

Using iPad Air 2 with iOS 15.7.5 - app will open if amp is connected. With amp connected to Bluetooth, the app hangs on the splash screen for about a minute then crashes. If I start the app first, then turn on the amp, it works most of the time. Other than the connection issues, I like the amp and the way the signal chain is laid out in the app.

Poor connectivity

I got this amp and app, hoping it would give me crossover. I need to go to get certain sounds. When it works. It works fine. Most of the time it disconnects in the middle of a session. I have yet, now having it for four months, been able to get through a single session without the app disconnecting, the interesting part of it disconnecting is, it’s only the app that disconnects my brand new iPad stays connected. I can still be playing the backing track / back up music through the amplifier with Bluetooth but the app says it’s not connected. I’ve tried restarting the iPad tablet. still tells me it’s not connected, I think it was a waste of money to purchase the amp. I do not recommend this purchase. I hope later models of line 6 products are better, but I’m not willing to spend my money to try it.

don’t buy

app won’t even open. this is wack

No no no.

Still same problem. Last update was two years ago. Don’t buy product app doesn’t work 90% of time

Fix the App or refund the cost of the amp!

When I first got my Amplifi 75, I loved it! Such a great concept.
Now, because the app is totally unreliable, loses BT connection, fails to synch, hangs endlessly and then crashes. I’m basically left with a big brick!
Please someone at Line6 take pity on us and fix the damned app!
You’re doing yourselves and your customers a huge disservice by failing to support us!

Best yet worst

Amplifi it would be pretty easy to upgrade your Bluetooth s/w… what gives? Just too cheap???? What!?!?

No updates… forgotten about

Well, won’t EVER be investing in LINE 6 or any company attached to these criminals.

Connection

Difficult to connect app to amp, even though amp is connected to phone via Bluetooth. If you can get it to connect, it usually stays, but if one switches between apps it will likely drop.

Could be better

I have the Amplifi 75 with FBV3. Happy with the tones. It’s amazing how the app retrieves matching tones to whatever is played. Build quality of the hardware is great. I deducted two stars for two reasons. Firstly it doesn’t work with Spotify or YouTube Music, only with iTunes; so I have to buy songs again. Secondly the device disconnects and the only way to reconnect is to unpair and repair Bluetooth.

Could be better

I’ve had an AmplFi TT for a number of years now and a similar problem with this app. I can connect to the AMPLIFi TT with no problem, it’s staying connected that is the problem. I will be playing along with a song and suddenly it loses Bluetooth connection. Very frustrating. I have to restart the song. It would seem Line 6 doesn’t care anymore about the AMPLIFi TT or the app. I have the latest version (2.61 build 104) and the hardware has the latest “Device Flash”. Had I known this before purchasing I would not have made it. Too bad, it’s a good device when it works correctly.

App non-functioning

Won’t connect.

Half way through an update and the app just doesn’t communicate to the amp. Currently now stuck with an broken amplifier due to poor maintenance of a key feature of a physical product restrained by an app.
reminds me of juicero.
