AmpliTube Acoustic has really nice sounds, and could have a place at the high table. Sadly, the developers will not put in the time and effort to make it AU3. So until they do it will always be second fiddle to MixBox from IK Multimedia.

Sounds really good! I really like AmpliTube stuff. My acoustic sounds great with this. I have real pedals and even a Helix, and this sounds clear and full. Easy to use as well.
Doesn’t work with my irig acoustic stage
App doesn’t hear the irig acoustic stage. GarageBand does just fine.
Best Acoustic Live Sound EVER!
Firstly, I have the iRig acoustic clip on with AmpliTube running on an old iPhone SE
I used this setup a couple of times at open mics and the PLUS points are…
It is better than a piezo pickup by a country mile.
You can get your sound and reverb etc so the sound engineer doesn’t have to do much apart from work on your vocal.
The MINUS points, such as they are…
The clip on can get knocked.
The setup is a bit fiddly and awkward so you can feel like you’re wearing “a wire”
Sounds can’t easily be changed on the fly, like with foot pedals so if you wanted say chorus on a song you would need to get the phone out of your pocket. DONT put it elsewhere as the cable of the pickup is so thin it won’t take much rough handling. I use an iPhone SE because it’s tiny and can be tucked away.
People will come up afterwards and go on about how good your guitar sound is and not talk about anything like how your technique and playing is or the rest of your act that you’ve spent ages getting together.
So if you want to save yourself the bother of messing about with it just use your crumby piezo pickup like every other bozo.
PS it’s good for recording too.

Useless
I specifically downloaded this app to try the 12 string simulator. Turns out I have to buy it before I can try it. Well what if I hate it after I buy it? Will I get a refund? Of course I won’t.
There’s a difference between CHEAP and Inexpensive…
This software and hardware combo is cheap yet way overpriced trash. The iRig Acoustic cord is paper thin and nearly as durable, then for the $70 CAD price tag, misleads you to think youre getting access to the entire IRIg Accoustic Suite… NOPE! And CS is as bare Bones as it gets so you can’t claim false advertising. Asking another priemium to upgrade to the full software that will run the remarkably fragile hardware. Crap device, worse business model. You know how many garbage bags you can buy for near $100?!
At least $100 worth of trash bags would work as intended and not let you down.

Super glad I just spent over $100 on a mobile acoustic set up for my sister's wedding only to be thwarted by an app that HASN'T BEEN UPDATED IN 3 YEARS. You guys are a complete joke, this app should be taken off the app store and the iRig should be pulled from every music store. Selling broken products. Completely unacceptable. Can I rate zero stars?

Won’t open
Updated to IOS 15 and now this app won’t even open. Deleted and reinstalled and still won’t open. Not sure when IK plans on updating this app.
Terrible. Don’t try this app.
Purchased some of the effects and after a while all gone.
Feels like a scam
So I paid 54 bucks for a bundle and turns out to be basically the free version off all the apps. In fact less than the free. No amps no peddles noting . So I paid 50 bucks and I got nothing. So confused did I really just get ripped off by the app store

2 years since an update? What’s the hold up?
Not user friendly
I tried this on an iPad (don’t know if it’s different on a traditional computer). You can’t toggle back to the home screen if you select an option. Also, you get next to nothing in the free app... in my opinion, not even enough to decide whether you like it or not. Finally, there is no way to preview anything they want you to pay to add (amps or pedals).

Unbecoming of a reputable company
This app does almost nothing. I’m not against in-app purchases necessarily, but this is shameful - especially from a company like IK that makes a lot of great stuff. I seems off-brand.

Finally working on iPhone 8 Plus but ruined
The new update has been long overdue with many changes that must be behind the scenes and more related to editing rather than playing. One thing they have screwed up is the fx. Pretty much the main use of the app.... want to add some long reverb effects... not any more...want to create real warmth and colour to the classical guitar.. not any more. Strike the strings and mute the guitar to listen for reverb in plate or hall mode on full... nothing, deadening fx. Ruined absolutely ruined. Finally fixed the iPhone 8 crackle but ruined the app. Give me back version 1.02 on my iPhone 5.
