Great app!

Simple functional app exactly what you need on location. Ability to export csv file is spot on. One potential minor thing: it seems there is no direct way to mark exposures longer than 1 second - perhaps could be fixed in the future???

Very nice and simple UI, functionality could use some improvements

Can we save the GPS coordinates instead of estimated place name when exported as CSV?

Also looking for a way to support long exposure (e.g. >1 sec)

Got the basics covered

Great app. I was going to give it 5 stars but I see some good feature suggestions — and existing limitations, like no shutter speeds longer than 1 second — in the other reviews. It also hasn’t been updated in a year. 🤓

Would be happy to give it 5 stars, and even pay, if some of the issues in the reviews were addressed.

Also, it would be great to be able to drop an arbitrary pin in the app for the location. Sometimes where I took the shot doesn’t correspond to a street address.

A Good Start

It’s OK, but needs polish. You can’t enter long exposures (seconds instead of fractions). You can only enter a single focal length so I can’t tell which lens I used if it’s a zoom lens. You can’t sort the My Film list, making it a pain when you shoot multiple cameras at the same time. And setting up a new roll is non-intuitive, multi-step, and clumsy. But... The foundation here is solid and hope it gets built upon.

More options

I shoot a lot of expired film and would like a option to note the dates. Other than that, I like the UI.

Update?

I was told months ago that an update with lots of useful features will be coming within a few days but I never received the new version. When can we expect the updates?

Response from developer

Hi there, Thank you so much for your suggestions!! I appreciate that a lot! I love working on projects that makes people’s life easier. For your first suggestion, I will add the option to add project based “roll” into the app, which does not limit frame counts, and also allow users to add pictures and replace the map. I believe that will solve your problem And for your second suggestion, in the next fee updates I will increase a section called Equipments, which will allow you to add your gear once there and use it throughout the app. For your last suggestion you will receive an update in the next few days allowing you to export the whole roll in a .csv file, which you can then share to your computer and view it using Numbers or Excel. Thank you again for your valuable suggestions, and I hope forward to make those functions available for you. Best, Hank

The best I’ve found

I’ve tried this app and compared it against the other few out there. Analog has become my favorite because of the flexibility it offers for entering aperture and shutter speed. Other apps I’ve used don’t let you put in half stops, but that isn’t a problem anymore.

The only reason I didn’t give it a 5 star is that I wish there was a way to archive/hide rolls so I can just see the ones I have active. It’s not really an issue until you amass a longer list of rolls you’ve shot. This would help me to stay more organized.

Other than that, great app!

I love it! Printer support?

I love this app! Saves me a headache! I’d love a printing functionality so I can take my notes into the darkroom! Thank you so much! ❤️

Simple, intuitive, just needs add photo option

Downloaded all three photography field note apps I could find that looked decent, kept this one and deleted the others. Simple, intuitive, pretty decent, but wish I could add/sync an image from phone camera roll so that I could add a snapshot of the image in question. In fact, stick it where there is currently a map/GPS pin. I'd rather see/have a photo than a map.
