About

Anchor is your personal AI companion for getting through a breakup. Whether it's day 1 or day 100, Anchor is here at any hour — to listen, to keep you grounded, and to help you move forward without telling you how to feel. WHAT ANCHOR DOES • AI Chat — talk through anything, anytime. Anchor remembers what you share and gets to know you over time. • No-Contact Streak — track your days, hit milestones, and get support when the urge to reach out hits hardest. • Mood Tracker — log how you're feeling daily and see your progress over time. • Journal — write it out. Anchor can read your entries and reference them in conversation. Anchor is free. Always.

What's New in Anchor

1.2.0

August 31, 2026

If Anchor stopped working, this update fixes it. A security certificate on our server was renewed, and version 1.1.0 didn't recognize the new one. It refused every connection before it even left your phone, so chat, sign in and anything else needing the server simply stopped. That was never your phone or your connection, and the app wasn't able to tell you so. It does now, and the check has been changed so a routine renewal can't do this again. Sorry. You deserved better than an app that quietly stopped answering. NEW - Share a photo in chat and Anchor can look at it with you. It's saved on your phone, encrypted, and never handed to an outside AI company. - Encrypted backup. Your journal, photos, moods, streak and conversations are sealed on your phone before they leave it, with a key that never goes anywhere. We can't read any of it, and that's the point. - Voice messages, for the nights when typing is too much. REDESIGNED - A quieter, more consistent look across the whole app. - The mood tracker now leads with the question instead of burying it under statistics. - The no-contact screen leads with your streak and your reason for keeping it, including a line pulled from something you wrote. - Rebuilt the chat composer. Photos now appear on their own instead of squeezed inside a bubble. - Journal reflections rebuilt around your writing. - Settings rebuilt from the ground up, including Change Password and the backup details screen. - "I'm feeling an urge" now writes you something for your situation before it shows you anything at all. - The "I resisted" button now answers you back, because resisting an urge is the hardest thing this app asks of anyone. FIXED - Tapping the chat now actually dismisses the keyboard. - Buttons that only worked if you hit the letters exactly. - Sheets where the button you needed sat below the fold and couldn't be reached. - The crisis line was rendered too faint to read. It's now legible and always reachable. If you're in crisis, call or text 988. - A message sent during a crisis could be dropped. It never is now. - Mood insights were cut off mid-sentence and never finished writing. They now complete. - Journal photos are now encrypted at rest on your device. ALSO - Faster, sharper replies. - The app's text now follows your system text size, including the largest accessibility sizes. - Every icon-only button now has a name for VoiceOver.
