Love this app compared to competition. Features and location are far superior
Very happy
As a new Boat owner, this app is given me piece at nigh. I can anchor up and not worry about if we are moving. The app is so easy to use.
Anchor alarme
Superbe application très ludique pas loin de 10 ans que nous l utilisons sans aucun problème 👍
Great app
I’m loving this app and have really been depending on it when the wind picks up over 20knots. It gives me great confidence visualising the anchor holding.
Saved Us Many Times
On the boat while cruising, Anchor Alarm is always on when we anchor and keeps us aware of our situation so we can have a safe nights rest. The alarms don’t leave anything to chance and having this app reduces our anxiety because it’s so accurate.
Had me all over the place
I used this while at anchor in a breeze and the alarm was going off. But it didn’t look like the boat was moving.
So, I ran the app while sitting on the porch and yes, it showed me moving in all directions, up to 6meters, within a 5-minute period.

App is not working backround on iphone

My favorite anchoring app
We are at anchor most of the time and this app has been giving me peace of mind for about the last 4 years or so. It keeps improving and the features generally work well for us. The only bit missing is a sharing feature so I can leave a device on board and share the monitoring with my phone from shore. Then, it’d feel complete. Dark mode is appreciated tho the track and circle could contrast a bit better especially under low brightness.
I really appreciate the anchorages tab as it gives an overall view if others have been in an area before as well as seeing ahead of a passage some popular or possible spots for anchoring. Really great when you go to unfamiliar places. It’s really one of my top favorite features.
I use this app in tandem with another where I can remotely monitor from shore. I like the backup but this one is still the first I check and set.
Thank you.

Keep shopping
For a paid app expected it to work instead it just goes off and boat has not moved setting your perimeters is arcane and a hassle.
Fantastic app
This app does everything I’ve been looking for, thanks
We are in an anchorage w/ 3’ waves
This app is awesome, it is rough and dark. I would normally stay up all night. I sleep through the night. Just make sure your phone is plugged in.
Good app to see swing room
When anchored in tight spots between coral bommies this app allows you to see how close you may swing when the wind changes! Very useful. The late set feature is a great asset!
Great app.
Used this for the first time, while sitting on anchor in 30-35 knot winds overnight. It worked great, alerted me twice, but I had set the meters at a lower amount. Really do recommend this app, my boat friends wish it could be used for Android.
Anchor Alarm Excelent
Ten day sail from Pensacola, Fl to Mexico Beach/Port St Joe and back. Experienced many rough storms and anchor drug twice, Anchor Alarm alerted us with a plenty loud signal, not too loud. Easy to use, 35 ft Oday with about a 60 ft anchor line. (10 ft depth below keal) Set Alarm distance at 80 ft, GPS accuracy at 30 ft, draw trace - on (this draws where the boat moves as wind changes or anchor drags), Show Accuracy circle-on, anchor alarm as “doorbell”, Sounds to low volume warning -on…. SLEPT PEACEFULLY, though I am old and as I woke during the night a couple times and visually checked our position for added peace of mind and “all was well.”

Inutilisable

Decent with questionable links
The app itself is what I have found to be the best regarding our anchoring practices. They have improved upon features however the latest are questionable. They paired with a company “boat vitals” but that company hasn’t put out any updates since July of 2020. They say you need their device which includes a few years of monitoring but nowhere is the price mentioned. That’s a huge red flag right there. Why advertise if your prices are secret?
We are actively traveling outside of the US so internet availability is spotty and even when we have a connection, the quality ranges from almost good to very poor. Such a service is useless.
What I have also found out is that without internet, you get zero visualizations. No circle, no trace, no map. There is no caching of data. The only way to tell if it is working is using your distance from the anchor coordinates.
Too many companies cater to those within more developed areas and zero support for those who travel outside those areas. I mean, that’s the point of using anchor apps, because you are actively traveling and looking for something to keep your stuff safe when not in network, right?
I see nowhere anything about sunsets or sunrises or moon phase. App updated this morning. I’ve been without internet for 2 weeks and come back to this hot mess.

Big thumbs up
All the features I need. Simple to use and very effective. I live on the hook. An invaluable tool.

My Go To app for anchor alarms
I’ve been using this app on and off for years but only this year have I been relying on it. It has been a rock steady app and have whittled down the ones I use to this and another that transmits data to a remote base.
Updates have been great but they have now removed the coordinate location of the anchor. The Apple Watch component has only start and stop buttons so when I forget to pause it under transit away from your boat, I always hit stop. Unfortunately that stops the entire process so I have to reposition the center every time. Without coordinates showing, I don’t know how far off I am when I’ve set my plotter with the spot. This leads to false alarms almost always at a most disadvantageous time.
The anchorage feature is really nice in that it shows locations where others have anchored off. Helpful to look there to see where others have found shelter.
1. Put the anchor coordinates back in the app.
2. Put a PAUSE button in the Apple Watch app.
3. Put a simple graphic (does not need to be interactive) on the watch app showing the green circle with anchor and boat locations.
4. Create a remote version so app can run on a device on the boat and transmit to another device when off the boat.
The app is pretty good but could be great. It’s still my main app for anchor alarms.
