I found this app easy to use but have not tested it in a big blow I also set my garmin player at night
Can I just set my anchor coordinates?
It seems really useful to me to be able to input the coordinates of my anchor. It doesn't look like that's possible with this app. Instead, I can just mark the anchor at my current location. The chances of me pulling out my phone and running this app while I'm dropping my anchor is zero. I'll typically drop a waypoint on my chart plotter, though, so I have the coordinates.

Hello, you can set the coordinates in the Anchor Plus version. You can drop the waypoint when setting the anchor, thereafter enter the bearing and distance from the vessel to that waypoint into Anchor Basic when setting the anchor alarm.
Reliable with little battery drain.
Favourable privacy policy compared to some others. When comparing to chart plotter it is reliable and causes little battery drain. Good for our occasional use.

Thank you for the positive review. As the app relies exclusively on the built-in GPS, the battery drain will be somewhat higher when the alarm is set.
