A local newspaper that stands out
I started subscribing to ADN TWO years ago after visiting my brother-in-law in Anchorage. The quality of its local, national, and international news makes it worthwhile and something I want to participate in regularly. So I subscribed. I continue to enjoy its coverage and local stories. It stands out among those paper newspapers left, and I enjoy it even though I have to read it on my phone in Montana - keep up the good work, ADN.

Eye opening
Being a former society editor for the Great Falls Tribune, I battled against a digital paper. But I am now accustomed to it. To search editions, to print those that really struck home. Thank you for being patient as I belligerently snubbed this change.

ADN’s Digital Edition
The replica digital edition of the paper edition of the Daily News is the next best thing to the actual paper edition. And, I don’t have to handle all used paper editions. I didn’t think I’d ever prefer it to the paper edition but I actually do.
Good way to stay in touch with Anchorage

Thankful for our excellent newspaper
Alaskans are extremely fortunate to still have a statewide-focus newspaper that also covers local sports, crime, the arts, restaurants, and so much more. It would be even better with additional subscribers, and I am always surprised when a friend tells me they aren’t. (I try to “convert” them.)
I am grateful to the talented ADN staff of reporters, editors, and managers, as well as the owners who keep things going. Be not discouraged. Your work is vitally important to all of us, even those non-subscribers.

Review of software
I was reluctant to drop my door delivery of the ADN for a variety of reasons. I liked having the news paper to read, and I did not want to deal with on-line issues because I am elderly and have relatively little patience with this cyber world. However, I was traveling and wanted to keep up with Anchorage news. So I logged on. Whoever designed the software for the ADN did so with his/her grandmother in mind. It is slick. It is easy. It is portable. My iPad goes every where with me, and now so does the ADN!

For many years said I wouldn’t give up my beloved print copy of the morning paper. After my robe it was the first thing I “put on” in the morning. But as you perfected this medium, and as my eyes changed, and as I got more interested in the puzzle page, and began to leave behind much of the dreary articles I fell in love with this e-version. I can make large copies of the puzzles for both me and my wife. And i can forward some of your more interesting articles to family members out of state. Plus you folks do a great job of keeping it very user friendly.

Provides articles in large font for easy reading and color photographs. By using the digital version, paper is not being used which is good for the environment.

As a longtime resident, and now a part-time resident who is a tour director in the summer… ADN is invaluable for me to keep up with what’s going on in Alaska. Furthermore, reading ADN back at my “other home” in the Blue Ridge Mountains gives me a sense of connection to the Last Frontier … and makes me a little homesick. 😉
