Worth the purchase!

Thanks a lot for your review. If you enable markdown in settings you can make text **bold** etc. Driver for the app though was to keep things as clean and simple as possible. As such am in 2 minds about images. They are on my radar though. I have seen the scroll issue you mention. Haven’t been able to fix as of yet but it is on my list. EDIT: 1.0.5 should have fixed this issue.
Simple and Clean
Anecnote is nearly the perfect app for me - simple but beautiful note layout, easily seeing your note’s tag, category, title, and date without it being overwhelming or taking up too much space. I love that categories are on top, and not folder style along a sidebar.
I do wish there were a few textual options, like bold or color options, and the ability to add an image or 2 for things like adding a screenshot of important info that I don’t want to have to copy the textual information. However, not sure how much this would interfere with the apps simplicity and the compact view of all notes.
Trying out this app and one other app before deciding on a purchase, but my initial reaction is that Anecnote will ultimately win out. ETA: the iOS app (iOS 26) is slightly glitchy. When I put the curser in a spot to add to text, the screen automatically goes back to the top of the note and I have to scroll back down to get to where I want to add text.
