Worth the purchase!

Love the app - bought the lifetime and use it all the time! But, I really wish you could search by tags! Custom views are great - would like custom created lists to be first followed by the default section. UI is beautiful and definitely worth the lifetime purchase.

Thanks a lot for your review. If you enable markdown in settings you can make text **bold** etc. Driver for the app though was to keep things as clean and simple as possible. As such am in 2 minds about images. They are on my radar though. I have seen the scroll issue you mention. Haven’t been able to fix as of yet but it is on my list. EDIT: 1.0.5 should have fixed this issue.

Simple and Clean

Trying to find a good, simple quick notes app these days is almost impossible. Everything is AI, overly bloated all-in-ones that boast being your journal, habit tracker, to-do list, calendar, Pomo, voice, summarizer, lots of analyses and statistics….etc!! I get lost in all of that when all I want is an app to keep a variety of simple notes from noting which coffees I like, to event activity fees, to other random, short things to notate.

Anecnote is nearly the perfect app for me - simple but beautiful note layout, easily seeing your note’s tag, category, title, and date without it being overwhelming or taking up too much space. I love that categories are on top, and not folder style along a sidebar.

I do wish there were a few textual options, like bold or color options, and the ability to add an image or 2 for things like adding a screenshot of important info that I don’t want to have to copy the textual information. However, not sure how much this would interfere with the apps simplicity and the compact view of all notes.

Trying out this app and one other app before deciding on a purchase, but my initial reaction is that Anecnote will ultimately win out. ETA: the iOS app (iOS 26) is slightly glitchy. When I put the curser in a spot to add to text, the screen automatically goes back to the top of the note and I have to scroll back down to get to where I want to add text.

Wow!!

Absolutely brilliant app!! Highly recommend as it’s so easy to use and couldn’t live without it!!

Great for organising

This app is a hidden gem for those that take/keep a lot of notes. Much more functionality than the built in OS app.

Exceptional Developer

Dr Marshall is one of the most innovative and responsive developers I know of. He’s also redefined web development via his exceptional 𝘚𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦 framework used in conjunction with TheStacksPlugin for the macOS web development app RapidWeaver (RW), which led to RW completely changing its architecture — and entire business model. Dr Marshall really does know how to shake the habitual, kind of like an earthquake but actually a tsunami. Expect the same with 𝘈𝘯𝘦𝘤𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘦, which is why I bought the lifetime license.

Wonderful for the organising

If you are one of those people that breaks down a massive task into smaller tasks this app is great for it. Likewise it’s great for day to day tasks and the layout is simple and clutter free.

Great app

Easy to use and categorise things for quick access later
