Hardscape Leads
Contractor
All these companies want is to take their cut off each job. They’re not here to help you grow; they’re here to profit. The people calling you to sell these services are sitting in another state with no understanding of your market. They use smooth sales talk and manipulation to push you into contracts you eventually want to buy your way out of because the leads are low-quality or completely disingenuous.
There is so much work available in the trades if you have real skill and knowledge — that’s what people actually pay for. Companies like Angie have been consolidating for years, and at this rate, I wouldn’t be surprised if they close altogether

Hi there, thank you for your feedback, and we are sorry to hear about your experience. We work hard to ensure our leads are of high quality. In any lead generation service, it's common for not all leads to become won jobs, so we recommend thinking about your investment as a twelve-month campaign. Track the leads you get in contact with, what percent of those contacts become closed jobs, and even what percentage of those jobs become repeat or referral business. To make the most of your leads, check out some helpful tips at https://bit.ly/45NIw0a, and please give us a call at 888-819-2644 to discuss your specific situation further. We’re here to help! Lack of customer service
Angie's performance
Don’t recommend it all
I’ve been a contractor for over 10 years, and this is by far the worst experience I’ve ever had with a lead service. Do not waste your money you’re literally paying for nothing.
Your neighborhood Handyman llc Jerry Thomson Jr.
Fake/Poor Quality leads
They misrepresented services, over promised, and did not deliver. Their tactics are predatory. Avoid Angi ads at all costs.

Angi Leads is a Scam — Don’t Waste a Dime
Don’t waste your money
All customer service is outsourced to people whose native language isn’t English & you can’t understand their dialect. There is no option for US based support, AT ALL. Their phones aren’t clear & often are full of static.
It really is just a terrible experience overall & the new Angi only cares about profits to share holders.
Partly good
Don’t recommend it
Scam

Terrible company
Absolutely terrible
They have outsourced all their customer service to overseas agents & I can’t understand anyone. They hang up on you, when you explain you can’t understand them. They don’t even offer American customer service anymore.
Angie’s is all about the money now. Private equity has officially ruined this once great organization.
Consider Angi? How about ROI?
Firstly, they do a very aggressive advertising campaign and call you from different numbers almost every day. Then you checking them in Google and see: they are everywhere. And you thinking if they are so big it's not possible they are bad or scam.
And finally you decide to try and take a look how it works, because they are everywhere. And they making you sign a contract for 1 year. I'm just lucky I chose a budget $300 per month, not more, it was a minimum budget available. And then something horrible started.
First 2 months I didn't get any jobs at all, only poor quality leads. Customers don't even respond to any messages and calls, you getting just a ghost leads. As I get it later, when customer choose one pro, Angi send that lead to that pro and also to up to 5 other pros, so it's confusing for customer, because he doesn't expect any other calls and messages except the only one pro he chose. So other pros start calling to the customer and everyone gets disappointed: pros getting unresponsive cold lead who doesn't interested in their calls and the customer gets a lot of unexpected and unwanted calls. This is confusing everybody.
And I worked with Angi about 8 months and during that time I did only 3 jobs from that platform. And that not because I'm not experienced guy and don't know how to speak with customers and etc. In that time I worked with other platforms like Thumbtack, Yelp, Pro Referral. And I got a lot of very good customers from those, but not from Angi. Angi always was worst compare to other platforms, that's why I understood that is not normal, that I pay $300 per month and getting just a ghost leads, but the same time I'm getting a very good work flow from other platforms for even less money.
And that point you decide to break up with Angi, but it's not that easy. Before I signed a contract with them I already knew if you quit before the contract ends you will pay 30% of the remaining amount in contract on that moment. If you pay $300/month that is $3600/year. If you cancel after your first month with Angi in that case you will pay about $990 early cancellation fee. So I paid less, because it was my 8th month with Angi, but it still was $430.
So what is the summary and conclusion of that story? I'm handyman business owner with 8 years experience and I know how to run a business and how to communicate with customers, and I know how to do advertising. I used a lot of various platforms, but Angi was worst of the worst. I didn't even earn enough money from customers from Angi to even cover the money I spent for Angi Ads. For 8 months working with Angi I did just a 3 jobs from that platform. I spent $2,533 for Angi Ads and earned $1,240. So it's -$1,293 of losses, not including a time I spent to call and messaging those ghost leads, to perform a jobs, not including a gas I spent and tolls I paid to travel to the customers. It's for 8 months!!!
No one other platform gave me so terrible results. Thumbtack, Yelp, Pro Referral and other platforms I used the same time gave me a lot more earnings then spendings. So Angi Ads ROI is so terrible, so I strongly recommend to other handymans and pros to stay away from Angi and invest your money in something else.
