Good app with useful information to explore the archeological site.
No real details about contents in temple
Very basic description of a few places in Angkor wat. Doesn’t have more detailed info about any specific items inside the temple grounds. Nothing about the carved reliefs in temples or statues that are there. Just as much info as google maps.
App war nicht nutzbar
There is no coverage in Angkor. The app prompts the user for buying. However, the app also needs to get “activated” or something like this, which the user not being before starting the app on site, but this doesn’t work w/o connection, doesn’t work w/o coverage. Programmers of this app please modify the app accordingly (more detailed prompts, different functionality…). I wasn’t able to use the app at all. Bummer!

I bought the premium version and there’s the progress bar all the time, when I restarted app it asks me, maybe I would like to buy it again….
Shallow information with machine voice
I thought for a bit if I should get the premium. Now, I’m super disappointed that the „audio guide“ is actually done by a machine. It’s unbearable to listen to it 😒

Loved using this app for our visit! The place is overwhelming so it was great to stop a few Minutes on the shade and read about where we were sitting.

I had a great experience with SmartGuide in Angkor App and saved a lot by not booking a tour with a guide. Has both free and premium options, and even the last ones are worth it
Not so good
Far worse than I thought I could have been. There's very little information about each location. The entire story is one place is pretty much narrated all at once, and it's not clear most of the time what is the specific location, as there's no pictures to help you identify. The text is narrated by what I can only assume computer because it's so monotone and it's hard to understand in fact.

A must have for a visit to Angkor Wat
Very informative, listening to audio is easier than reading. Make sure you start early if you only have one day, there is so much to see!

Paid content is useless
DO NOT get the paid content. It’s supposed to read the text, but it only reads the first little paragraph for each landmark and then stops. It’s completely useless. Free info is good, but standing around in the heat and sun reading my phone just is not possible.

We are sorry you had a bad experience. It is due to size limitations version. We are now releasing version with full audio so paid content will be much better.

In short: very helpful. Worth the $5.
I am glad to have downloaded the free version (wouldd have been 4.5 stars) . Used it for two days and found gps locating and the descriptions very helpful. There were a few crashes (sad) and reminders to buy full version (ok, and worth it anyway). Bought the full version because even free version would have been worth it. Unfortunately unlocking of additional features did not work (yet), so can’t give full five stars.

Not worth paying
The information is limited to few minutes per sight only. And not all temples are included. The complete Grand Tour ones are missing.

Wenig Infos - für viel Geld!
An sich ist die App gut programmiert und funktioniert auch einwandfrei - auch die Standortfunktion ist super. Allerdings sollte diese App dazu dienen einem jede Menge Informationen über Angkor Wat und seine Tempel zu geben - pustekuchen. Jeder Wikipedia Artikel gibt einem mehr Infos über den Tempel, als diese App - sehr enttäuschend! Ich habe mehr Informationen über Tomb Raider bekommen, als über den eigentlichen Tempel in dem der Film gedreht wurde.

Information not great
I don't want to hear all about the Lara Croft movies. I want the history of the temples. There is a little history on some temples, but very little about the art or restoration work and the info on the temples history is very short. I do not recommend this app if you want detailed information.
Good for jungle!
I really appreciated the great navigation and it worked offline. The content is well structured and audio makes it easy to consume while I was wondering around the temple. Get even if you have a local guide.
Truly heplful app
This app helped me so much during my visit to Angkor Wat. Not only that I saw the main places, I was also navigated to hidden areas which were truly fantastic. Moreover, the app aims to avoid the crowd which really worked for me. I warmly recommend the app!
