About
Angle Alpha is a clinical planning tool for eye-care professionals performing toric IOL and cataract surgery. Photograph the patient's eye with the camera (or import an existing image), overlay a scaled protractor and reference grid, and read off the ophthalmic measurements you need for accurate toric lens alignment — right on your phone, with no extra hardware.
Conceived and owned by Dr. Sourabh D. Patwardhan and developed by ScriptLanes.
WHAT YOU CAN MEASURE
• White-to-white (WTW) diameter as the scaling reference
• Pupil diameter
• Alpha and Kappa distances
• X / Y offsets in millimetres
• A draggable axis-of-placement / mark-rotation line for toric alignment
HOW IT WORKS
1. Capture the eye with the camera or pick an image from your gallery.
2. Enter the white-to-white (WTW) value to calibrate the on-screen scale.
3. Align the overlay grid and read the live measurements.
4. Drag the placement-axis line to plan or verify toric marking.
5. Save the annotated result against a patient record for later review.
