About

Anglican Bible puts together Morning and Evening Prayer from the 1662 Book of Common Prayer for any date, in the book's own order, to say alone or to lead with others. It has five sections, each one tap away in the bar at the bottom: Today, Office, Psalter, Bible and Library. Today • A week of dates, and the day's name in the Prayer Book's year: its Sunday, its holy day, or the name the calendar gives it • A card for Morning Prayer and one for Evening Prayer, each listing its psalms, lessons and canticles, with a button to begin • The Collect of the day in full, and the offices said this week Office • The whole office on one page, from the opening sentence to the Grace: the confession and absolution, the Lord's Prayer and versicles, the Venite, the psalms appointed for the day of the month, the first and second lessons from the Prayer Book's calendar, the canticles, the Creed, the Collect of the day with the Collects that always follow it, and the closing prayers • Leader and People: set the leader's lines apart from the people's responses, or show the people's part • The Prayer Book's alternatives, such as the Benedicite for the Te Deum or the Jubilate for the Benedictus. Where a rubric rules one out for the day, the office says why • A rail of the office's sections on iPad and a scrubber on iPhone to jump to any part, five text sizes, and Mark as said Psalter • The whole Psalter once a month, morning and evening, as the Prayer Book divides it, and the proper psalms for the six days that have them Bible • The King James Version with the Apocrypha, with search, bookmarks, highlights and notes, and the day's lessons a tap away Library • The Thirty-nine Articles, the Catechism, the Litany, Of Ceremonies, Morning and Evening Prayer as printed, and four of the Homilies • 29 hymns, 45 prayers and five reading plans, among them the Sunday Epistles and Gospels of the Prayer Book year • Settings for the canticles, the office's text and the appearance The psalms and lessons are read from the King James Version. Your offices and notes stay on your device. There are no ads, no account and no tracking, and no connection is needed.
