Update removed all my progress

I’ve been really liking this game. It’s like Brotato, and more forgiving than pickle Pete. However, when I updated the app and opened it, I lost all of my progress. I had a lot of stuff unlocked. If this doesn’t get fixed, I’m just going to delete this game and change my review.
