This app is almost perfect.

It's good but extremely limited. There were no layers, limited brushes and sizes. My suggestions: Add layers, folders for layers, ability to change layer blend type, etc. Add more brushes or allow people to make their own brushes, allow more sizes for brushes. I also couldn't rotate the canvas which is a crucial part in my drawing process. Correct me on any things here if I'm wrong, I didn't use the app for more than 2 hours. You can't flip the canvas either and can't add audio to the animation. Thank you

Love itt

So good I like it but I think it needs a feature where u can make ur own animations I don’t know if u can tho but good app

Ad update?

All of a sudden I get ads now when I’ve purchased the ad-free version prior? And I’m unable to restore my purchase? Yeah alright

Meh

Very basic for $10

Perfect 100%

The app is so good I love anime and I have made my own movies and episodes I think they should add a little more coloring tools though but besides that 5 stars Thank you for this wonderful app

Easy to use!

I was unsure about how easy it was to use this program until I bought it. Right away I was making simple animations and building confidence and a sense of what to do to make drawing less repetitive. Within a couple of hours I had my first project complete and inserted into Final Cut Pro as an intro to a video. That was last night and since then I have complete 4 other animations. Very fun and intuitive.

Response from developer

Thanks for your support, and we appreciate the rating/ review.

Awesome

I’m the type of person who would just animate for fun and this app is perfect for that I use my fingers too draw the animation and has a onion skin which makes it way easier to animate

I like this but

I paid for this application and I like it, so why am I seeing advertisements as if it was free?

......

It's Perfect.... Perfect. So perfect🤩.

Not bad but could be better

Its ok better than other low quality apps but its not worth paying
For it doesn't have the basic things that it should have like the Lasso tool and even zoom-in its good if it was free bit if you put it to were you have to pay the app you at least have to have the basic tools please

Would Be Perfect Without the Subscription

Update: asks for too many unneeded and really intrusive permissions just for an animation application. I don’t feel secure using an app for animation that needs my location and email address and name. Seems more like data mining to me more than needed permissions just to animate.

I think that this is a pretty decent animation application, well, for basic needs. I just wish that it offered a premium version through in-app purchase. Instead of this ridiculous monthly subscription nonsense. Paying monthly to animate is just wasteful in my opinion. It's annoying that so many developers believe that their program warrants a subscription plan today. When 9 and a half out of 10 times it most certainly does not in my opinion. To me, subscription plans make sense the most for applications/services such as Netflix, Hulu, Spotify and Amazon Prime Video. Using subscription plans for an app like this is just a way for developers to make continuous profit for basically the same and static content. With it never changing enough to warrant that subscription I don't believe. So, as I mentioned, if Animatic offered a one-time purchase for the full app with no reoccurring payment. Well, I think this program would easily deserve 5-stars. But, as it stands now, I think I'm being generous in giving it 4-stars considering the subscription plan. Especially considering the fact that there are animation programs available out there that offer more features and only require a one-time payment for all of the content offered in those apps. Still, though, this app does offer a lot for free. I just really wish that I could pay a single price for everything please, without the subscription. I'd pay a single price of like $5-$10 for this app honestly, if it meant no monthly fee forever. I would ask please and hope that this developer would ditch that unneeded payment model and just make the app premium like it should have been from the start in my opinion. Thanks if you'll consider doing that and God bless.

Worst app I have ever used!

Horrible app, nothing works. Sometimes it will just repeat random frames when it exports that cover other ones so fo make my stop motion I had to take 130 screenshots and use lifelapse. Also sometimes onion skinning doesn’t work. And let me add that if you do something so minimal as delete a frame it decides it doesn’t like that and crashes. I also spent 2 hours redrawing one frame because it kept deleting it.

This app is no where near close to worth $10, they should pay me to use it because of how mentally straining the bugs are, especially when it crashes when it feels like it.

DO NOT BUY THIS APP
Also I would like a refund.

Simple to use, sweet and to the point Animation App.

This is exactly what I have been looking for in an animation app. As a beginner it has made animation very fun and accessible, thank you.

It’s cool!

I can’t really draw that quickly so I didn’t make that many.
Animatic is amazing ! I can animate and share it to my friends!
10/10!

frustrating!

is there any support? the App support link doesn’t work. also, there’s a bad bug in here - when trying to do a simple animation the app keeps deleting multiple frames after trying to cut and paste them onto the end of the strip. why is this happening?? makes it IMPOSSIBLE to finish an animation! Is there some kind of frame limit here?? Please fix, thanks.

amazing sketch app

ive used this for 4 years, its my favourite drawing app mostly because i love the feel of the brushes under my fingertips.
obviously youre not here to make intense animations, but ive used it extensively for doodles, storyboarding, sprite sketching, and just lots of on-the-go practice.
it crashes sometimes when switching frames so be careful not to slide them while drawing, and you have to exit out of the drawing for it to save.
ive gotten used to it but the new issue is i cant open the app anymore. it shows “no animations” and crashes. maybe i have too many drawings?

Don’t be me, Save Your Money.

I don’t normally write reviews, but I had to for this app. Constantly crashes, even just by deleting a frame. Frames often times randomnly disappears, whichs means you’ll be losing at least an hour of work very often. Don’t bother making good animations on this app. It’s unusable, and you’ll probably lose your hard work. Save your money and look elsewhere. This app is utter garbage.

* UPDATED REVIEW * Almost Spectacular, But Needs Better (Or any) Instructions

[SEE UPDATED REVIEW BELOW]

This could be a fantastic app, and from what I’ve managed to bumble around and find out what it can do thus far is fairly impressive. The reason that I am giving it such a low rating is because of the utterly shocking lack of instructions on how to use the app ANYWHERE. And I’ve looked. And looked. And looked. No YouTube videos, no written instructions, no how-tos, nothing on the web. I’ve watched the videos included with the app and yeah, it’s great to watch a Disney animator do his thing, but he doesn’t really go into any specific explanations of how things work and why from a project setup standpoint. For instance, I’m setting up a new project. I imported a .png. The background is solid black, which defeats the entire purpose of having a .png with a transparent background. I want the background to be transparent, and I’ve wasted several hours trying to figure out a workaround as to why the background is solid black instead. This is just one of many instances where I’ve had to waste hours of my time trying to figure things out on my own, when some simple instructions could’ve showed me how to do this in :15 seconds or less. I could go on and on, but suffice it to say that with the potential greatness that this app could have had, I’m just in a state of disbelief that the developers failed to deliver (or simply overlooked) something as basic as a “101 Tutorial” to go along with it. My rating (since you asked over and over and over again): The app itself, 5-stars, Instructions on how to use the app - 0 Stars.

* UPDATED REVIEW * After my initial review, the developers reached out to me and provided a link to some really great tutorials and instructions. You can find it in their response to me. This is exactly what I needed. My only wish is that I had it sooner as I wasted A LOT of time fumbling around trying to figure things out on my own. Other than that, I find it to be a near-perfect app, and find myself using it quite a bit.

Could use a few tweaks

The ability to turn off touch on canvas
Adding warping like squash and stretch post sketch (transform tools)
The ability to transform rotate and scale images brought in
