The app is great

The reason it lost stars is because the sign language examples move way too fast for me to be able to follow. Let alone trying to mimic the motion along with the facial expressions. Slow it down

Great start

I love how great of a refresher this is for me and I love the practice section to review. I wish it wasn’t so restricted on the free version, and more similar to Duolingo. I also wish that using energy didn’t make it go away unless you fail the lesson. It was hard waiting so long to practice more. I’d love for an update to be made where I can continue past course 1 in the free version

MY OPINION

This is so very good app but sometimes had sign language bit fast but i so understand i mean need for hearing people to slow sign language please!

But i am Deaf i want help you, if you had new update for This app better i will give you review and rate 5‘Stars.
Please Thank you🤟🏻❤️.

great app, super hard sometimes

the girl is impossible to follow. i say this as quite the man hater, but i cant follow whenever she signing. you just cant tell what she’s doing because she goes SO insanely fast. the boy is so much easier to follow; smoother, more precise, etc. i wish there was either an option to slow down more, or get a different person doing the same sign when you can’t understand her.

3 stars is generous imo

I was so excited to use this as I’ve been wanting to learn ASL for a while now. The other reviews said it was mostly free, but I have to disagree. Why do I have to wait 24h to be able to get energy do a test or pay for premium and wait 5 hours? How are people supposed to learn this way??
Another issue I have is with the AI use. You can tell that the icon is AI, and even though that doesn’t harm my learning, it makes me wonder if anything else is AI and if I’m getting misinformation. It’s 2026, we businesses should know not to use AI.

Anna has made me learn so much ASL sign language

Good but needs improvement

I really love this app. It I feel like they need to offer a slower option for the sign demonstration videos. And maybe different angles. There are many times where I watch in repeat 20mins trying to figure out the correct hand or finger placements and the correct motion. If I’m gonna learn I want to learn it right!!! Keep it up just a bit of feedback. Not sure if I would pay for this app just yet without those updates

It’s alright

It’s good for learning the simple signs but you have to buy a subscription to learn more which I think is messed up you should not have to pay to learn sign language

Sinon bonne application.

Okay

It is okay. As someone whole trying to learn the person is far away form the camera and facing it directly, which, makes it hard to see what they are doing with their hands form the sides especially if it’s a faster movement or longer sentence. I just wish you could see a side view of what to do with your hands too.

Good but..

It’s a pretty good app, but a lot of features do require money to access and the hand mascot seems ai generated which is sketchy

just like duolingo but for asl!

as the title says, this app is almost exactly like duolingo in its mechanics, way of instructing, and being almost entirely free to use! Unlike other asl apps, you don't have to get a free trial or pay to use anna. Yes, there are things that you have to pay for, but these are not the majority and going without them doesn't destroy the usability of the app!

Great But Miss The Flash Cards

I use this daily to learn ASL and after I finished a chapter I would review by using the flash cards. Why was this feature removed!? Please bring it back.

Good but needs some fixes.

I’ve been trying out new apps. This one has potential but needs a few changes.

1. The hands are too zoomed out especially on small phone type devices.

2. The questions in relation to some of the questions is very distracting. The switch between a 1 image question to a 2 image question is not an easy transition. I find the jump puts me in a mental pause that by the time I find my rhythm again half the timer is gone then if the sequence I need to decipher is more than a word or two I don’t get enough repeats to catch it as a newcomer.

3. That brings me to problem 3. On new material there should not be a timer. It should be an option on tests and later materials once you’re more familiar. Or, give an option to override if you need it slowed or you have kids or emergencies that pull you away from learning.

4. It’s still got some major quirks. The report feature worked once, the second time it crashed mid typing, third time crashed and ended the activity.

I see potential in this app.

Another suggestion. Instead of a timed energy refill can you add a feature that either you watch an add or refill it by other learning challenges? Maybe this is where speed comes into play? It’s frustrating when you only have a small window for learning, can’t afford any non essential subscriptions and the free versions lock you out for a set amount of time. Please think outside the box about ways to build energy to help those of us who are wanting to learn because we feel it’s something that should be universally taught but never get access to the resources without being either privileged or medically necessary.

Best ASL app ever!

Use this app it’s the best!!!!!!

Love this app

I love how am able to understand others really before I’m able to sign.

Videos too fast - bad customer service

I got the app obviously because I wanted to learn ASL. I found the videos too fast and the handling to slow them down too much of a hassle to do it every time so I got myself a better app. Now that I wanna delete my account it tells me to contact customer service, which is very inconvenient tbh. So I went out of my way to contact them and the only thing I get back is to cancel my subscription which I DON’T have. So I contacted them again and told them that I never purchased anything. They got back to me with: “if you have been charged it means you made a purchase - uhm.. I NEVER got charged hellOo. I just wanted to delete the app and go on with my life.. guess not. I would give no star.. but yeah.. whatever!

One Small Suggestion!

Works very well for learning sign language! I’ve been deaf for 11 years but never thought to learn since I’m a cochlear implant user. Finally decided to lock in and learn with my mom and my twin sister. One thing about me is that I’ll get addicted to ANY app with streaks, only thing is, I can’t use a widget to actually remind me of my streak (sort of like how Duolingo can). I think a widget option could be great for me and for other learners! Just a suggestion though, keep up the good work.
